I would like to take a backup of my site, to make sure I don't lose it. How do I do this?

Click on "Publish Site" and select the third option in the dialog to download a zipped file of your site.

This takes care of the download option. Thanks!

Now, what are my options for restoring my site, in the event that I make a devastating/destructive mistake?

SynthaSite prompts you to save at important moments while building your site. However, in a worst case scenario your best bet is to 1) refresh your page 2) use the Undo button (for test editing only) or 3) as a very last resort exit without saving to prevent the mistake becoming permanent. I also like to keep a preview of my page available if I have added a lot of content so that I can copy and paste if I need to reconstruct my page for any reason.

You can do this if you are hosting your site somewhere else. If you are hosting your site with us then there is not a way to re-upload an old version of your site back to SynthaSite.
