I'd LOVE to format my Blog Titles/Text for Continuity!!

I'd love to have the formatting of the titles on my blog page match the titles on the rest of my site, but there doesn't seem to be an option to change the formatting. This leaves me with red/blue Times New Roman titles on every other page of my site and then green Arial (or whatever it is) on the blog page/posts.

This makes me sad.

Am I missing something? It seems odd to me that I'm unable to customize the font, size, color for continuity with the rest of my site.

Help me, Rhonda!
Thanks!!
Gina

Hi boogieg

Since you've asked so nicely, I feel that I must help :)

Right now, our blog doesn't allow you to change the font using the Text Editor. However, you can change the fonts to suit the style of your website, using HTML.

Here are the steps to follow:
1. Open a blog post on your blog page.
2. Then click on HTML in the Text Editor - it is the icon on the far right.
3. Paste in this HTML code:
<!-- <span style="font-family: Times New Roman; color: red;">Your blog post here</span> --> (remove the <!-- and -->)

This code will change your font to Times New Roman and make the text color red. If you would like to have your text in a different color, you can change it using hex codes. These are a combination of numbers and letters that represent colors on the web. For example #C0C0C0 represents a shade of grey.

You will need to add the text of your post where I've added "Your blog post here" for it to format all your text in the post.

I hope this works for you! If you have any problems or need help, please let us know.

Thank you
Nazlie

Hi, Nazlie -

Thank you so much for the quick response. If I'm reading your advice correctly, then I can use your code to apply a format to the body of the post, but I'm actually looking for a way to format the blog post TITLES, as well as the titles for the boxes on the right ("Tags", "Categories", "Recent Posts", "Archive", etc.)

Any idea how I can format the titles?

Thank you!
cheers,
gina

Hi boogieg

Yes, that code is for the actual post. I will need to do some more investigating about changing the headings of your blog itself.

Would you mind sharing your website so that I can take a look at it for you?

Thanks so much!

Hi boogieg

Thanks for providing the URL of your site.

To change the headings and font face on your blog page, add this code to an HTML Widget:

<!-- <style type="text/css">
body{
font-family:Times New Roman, serif;
font-size:12px;
color:red;
}
h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6{
color: blue;
}
</style> -->

Please remove the <!-- and --> when you copy and paste the code.

This part of the code: color:red; changes the color of the text in the content.

This: h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6 {color: blue; changes the color of the headings.

I hope it makes sense. If you have questions or if something doesn't quite work, please let us know.
