Hello abc del,

You only need the one Online Store subscription. You could have up to 25 stores for the subscriptions you mentioned. (ie: Gold and Online Store.). They would however need to be the same store(cart) design colour system. There are workarounds but not simple adjustments as such.

Your stores would use different item categories and even though they are held within the one inventory file they are easily separated in the individual store displays. The inventory space offered is 1000 items and this may be increased by communicating directly with Yola. (support@yola.com)

The subscription cost for the store and the hosting plans are within the Pricing page.

Thank you for your reply.I do have a silver package now
and if I did want to have 2 or 3 shopping carts on one account to use in different stores is this possible? I will probably have 2 stores duplicated with the same products but more like 2000-4000products and one store completely different items .Also is there any tutorials on how to do that with the shopping cart with multiple stores

Hello abc del

Gop has given you good replies to most of your questions. For our Yola Online Store tutorials please see our Adding and editing content section under 17 "Yola's Online Store".

For managing multiple stores please see our tutorial Categories and multiple stores.

The creation of multiple stores doesn't affect the way you add the store to more sites. You simply call in the categories that you wish to display into your site.

For example if you have 100 products in say category A, category B, category C and you wish to add category A and B to your first store and category A and C to your second store, then you simply pull these categories in as you would for a single store, there's no difference.

If you are using 2000 to 4000 products then you will need to contact Yola and ask for an extension of your inventory allowance. The contact details are in my first response.

If you need specific help with implementing this then I am happy to offer help. Up to you.

I would like to add a question on to the end of this too if I may.

So basically, what you're saying it, we only really have one central stock databases and using the categories (and subcategories) we can choose which products are available in which stores?

Thing is, I want to create different shopping portals for different businesses... I want the orders to be delivered to different email addresses etc. Is this possible, or will I be stuck using "one" means/method of order placement because we only have "one" stock database?

it seems like a little thing but before I part with cash I want to be sure I understand this correctly. I've been reading a lot of the Yola Online Store tutorials and to be honest this question has not been addressed at all.

Hello ilkestone,

Correct there is only one database of products, discrimination by categories etc.

Different shopping portals? I presume you mean different websites for different product classes? or different site pages for various classes of product or service related to product supply?

"orders being delivered to different email addresses": Do you mean the delivery of your products to your customers? If you mean the order requests by customers then they will be assigned to the one store name which you specify in your store setup and which can be altered but you can't have 2 or more concurrently with the one online store and only one email address associated with the Online Store account. The reason for this is extensive and addressed in discussions within the Ecwid forums and KB's The second issue here is the Payment gateway. Say you were using PayPal then all payments would go through to a specific PayPal account of yours and your customers of course are advised of this account name. You can't run different accounts for the one gateway with the one Online Store.

Happy to address these questions further if you feel I should clarify aspects.

OK, thanks.

I actually would need different payment gateways for specific products.

I take it I can only have one Online Store subscription? I really would like to operate multiple stores (as in multiple stock databases)

I want to operate these stores in partnership with someone I work with - they would take and process payments

Hello ilkestonewebdesign

I'm afraid that you can only have one Yola Online Store subscription per Yola account at the moment. I'm sorry I don't have better news for you on this matter.

Can I at least specify a separate recipient email for order received?

The Yola Online Store uses a second party for processing payments. Because Yola don't offer SSL you can't process payments directly. These must go through a secure server. Ecwid manages this.

The order received is made through the Online Store and through the payment gateway so there isn't a process for a subsequent acknowledgement. Of course you can make contact with customers if needed and this could be through any email that you have.
