Hello Mary Miranda

If you're using Yola Form widget, then you will receive an email to the email address you use for your Yola account login.

If you're using an external form, then you will either get a submission on your account through your Form service or to the email address you've designated in your form settings.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if it does not.

I am not getting my emails posted from a form? My email is listed correctly on my account so I don't understand why not.

Hi Roy,
If you are using the Yola Form widget and are not receiving form submissions, you can check the following things:

1. Make sure you are checking the correct email address. To find out what email address your forms are submitting to please click on the little "Edit" icon in the upper right hand corner of the Form Widget, click on the "Settings" tab and you will see the email address the forms are submitting to.
2. Send yourself a test submission and check your Spam/Junk mail folder to see if the form submission possibly ended up there.

Please let us know if neither of these suggestions work, so we can investigate further.

Hi there. I have checked the email account name in the Yola field edit and even try to send it to another one of my accounts but it won't send it through. I am using an outside form creator as well and here I get the emails but they are limited as it is a free service. Please see to help!

Hi Roy,
If you don't mind sharing your website URL on the forum, I would like to test your form. If you'd prefer not to, please mail support@yola.com and I can help you from there.

Hi Roy. I have sent you a test message via your "Contact Me" form. As you are using a Wufoo form, you should receive that test message in your Wufoo account. I wasn't able to see any other contact forms.

However, I can see that you have added your email address to your contact page, but it is not an email link. This may be why you are not receiving emails to that address. If you would like to make that email address into a link, using the Link Editor, when visitors click on this link, an email will open up in their default email program with your email address already filled in. Here's how to do it:

1. Highlight your email address.
2. Click on the "Link" button on the Text Editing Toolbar (this icon looks like the links of a chain with the word "Link" beside it).
3. The Link Editor will open - enter your email address in the third box.
4. Click on "OK".

I hope this solves the problem - please let me know if it does not, or if you didn't receive my test message.

Hi Roy,
I see you have taken the Wufoo form off your page. I have checked the Wufoo help page, and they say the following about why you may not be receiving notification emails:

"When you’re viewing your forms in the ‘Form Manager’, you’ll see a button labeled ‘Notifications’ beneath each form. Clicking on that button will take you to a page where you’ll see an area labeled ‘To My Inbox’. Inside of that area, you’ll see a textbox where you can add the email address where you’d like confirmation emails sent to. If you’d like more than one address to receive a confirmation email, separate the emails with a comma.

A confirmation email will be sent to that address and contain each new entry’s unique entry number and a copy of the data submitted. Please note that the email will be sent from no-reply@wufoo.com, so set your spam filters accordingly."

Here is a link to their help pages: http://wufoo.com/docs/notifications/#....

I have checked your "Contact Me" page again (http://roypretorius.yolasite.com/cont...) and see that you only have your email address on that page, and that it is unlinked. Can you let me know where your other form is located, as well as any other contact addresses are, so I can test them as well?

The form is on my home page (index). Could this be the cause why I dont receive the mail notifications? I really do not want wufoo to handle my emails as I need to go onto the Internet to get my messages. This is a big inconvenience for me. -Thank you Justene.

Hi Roy, It is possible that visitors are not seeing the form on your homepage. If you would like to keep it on the homepage, I can suggest you move it up the page, so it is the first thing visitors can see. I have sent you a test message via the form on your homepage - could you let me know when you have received it?

Hi Justine. I deleted it from my home page and created the form on my "Contact Me" page hoping it will work there. Still it don't send through to me. I have now decided to create a Valicmail.com site and will see if the update form works there. I am selling email accounts over the net where users can email five suggested email names for themselves so I really need this function to work properly. Thank you for your time girl. -Roy

Hi Roy,

I can see your new site, and that it uses a Wufoo form. I have sent test messages via the contact forms on both your sites. Both have been sent from the address "support@yola.com" - it is possible that your Spam filter has moved the mails to your Spam folder, so I do recommend checking that. I received a "success" message from both form submissions. If you do not receive them, could you check that the email address you have specified is the correct one?

If you do not receive the form submission sent via your Wufoo form, I do suggest contacting them as they will be able to investigate it on their side.

If you have another email address that you can test, you can try replacing the address that your form submissions are sent to to see if that works.
