My newly purchased domain http://youcanneverbetoosmart.info does not work with the www in front. How can I change the dns settings with godaddy to configure this?

yea, for you.... I got off the phone with godaddy and they indicated based on my location, it could take up to 48 hours from the time to changing it to our host's ip address. It doesn't work for papa at all.... with or without the www... and for me, it works without but not with. So I guess I'm just going to wait and see what happens. Goodnight Duke, talk to you soon!

Are you aware that the title of your post comes across as whining and demanding? I am getting too many complaints about your rude behavior in our forum. How are we going to resolve this?

WELL If we actually got the answers we needed instead of the general answers that we dont need...maybe we wouldnt whine...So, we pay for service...can we have it? That is my solution to resolve this...do your job and give us what we pay for...my site has been down for a week and I have wrote 3 times...and you all dont even look to check the problem before responding...which is frustrating and annoying and inconvenient. I am sorry to be so blunt I am not like this normally but have been with Yola for 3 months now and havent received decent support yet...So...yeah...I am gonna be whinning and demanding...same as what you are calling this person...which is ridiculous as an employee who is trying to get business? I work for the federal governemnt and think you are rude and can not belive you responded with this!

Hi Erica - I am sorry to hear that you have struggled to get the right answers and solutions to your problem. I am following up on this with my staff and we will make sure that the problem with your domain is resolved as soon as possible. Please note that the above statement was made some time ago with reference to a completely different situation and a different person. It was made after other forum members complained about a pattern of behavior of someone who had received extensive assistance- but that was 9 months ago and we really don't need to go into it now. I just want to point out that it is in no way directed at you and has no relevance to your situation, and no one has criticized your behavior on any level. I hope you will give us the chance to start fresh, deal with your problem and reach a productive outcome.

lol, I must've worded it wrong, all I was saying is that I would appreciate help real quick because I'm tired and it's 4:45 am here and my kids wake up in less than two hours, I didn't mean to be rude by it. I just wanted a quick answer.

It is not needed, everything on the web starts with this, so is not needed to be displayed or even typed during a search.

yep, although this post is nine months old and solved, couldn't help but noticing it was resurfaced.

To reply to Kent's reply...

it is true that www is not needed, however, a good portion of the population will by default type www, and because of this, with my original problem, a 404 page would have shown because of typing www
