Image background vs. website background.

I have a image / vector with a white background. The white around the image doesn't look professional.
Now I want the background of the image to merge with / be the same as the textured background of the website design that I am using.
Is that possible?

Hello Annie,

If you have some graphic software (like Photoshop or Gimp) or try to use an online service like Picnik.com you should be able to create a transparent background. You'll need to cut out the image and then save it as a transparent .png.

I hope that helps!

i never knew picnik was compatible with transparent images, every time i used it with transparent images it either made the background white or black

Making png images with transparent backgrounds is not possible in picnic......You can do this in Gimp but for some not used to Gimp it can be a little overwhelming....Another much simpler free but great software download that works for this is paint.net....Just remember to save your image as a png file once you have cleared the background.
