The image optimizer dosnt work. O`ve check on the forum if there is some solution but ..No luck. Could you please check this option(down on the post) which I copy and paste from the forum? I was using it and it was very handy. Thank you

" When you upload your image to the File Manager, the original image is stored in the File Manager. The optimization of the image only takes place when added to the page using the Picture Widget. You can drag and resize your optimized image on your page. You can view your new resized, optimized image by previewing the page. By optimizing your images this drastically improves the load time of your images on your pages. hat happened to the image optimizer?"

Hello Petty

When you upload images to Yola, you will be able to edit them using our built-in Aviary feature. If this doesn't work for, you have two options:
  • Either you could give me your website URL and describe the exact steps you do for editing your image. Then I'd need to know the exact issue that you experience with Aviary. Do you get any error message?

  • Or, you could just edit your images with another tool before uploading them to Yola. A great free tool is provided by Pixlr.com.

Hi Stefan

thank you for your quick reply.

I will try to explain you what changed few months ago. When I upload image I first upload it in the site manager and then I use the picture widget to place in in the website.

When I placed the image on the page in the website there was a little red dot in the right bottom corner of the image so I could optimize it(without changing the size of the image). In this way I could do all the pictures visibly the same size and of course on the back I could still attached the big picture.

Now that red dot disappear so I`ve try to use Avary but it did my image with very bad quality. And I can not do all the images visualy the same size. I do have a few graphic programs but make the pictures the same pixels didn't`t made them same when I uploaded them on the website.

You can see the colors in my product page

I matched them to look the same with that red dot used to appear on the picture widget. As well all the pictures you see in the website. Now I have some more to upload but that optimizer doesn't work.

The other issue I have from last week is- my page bar lost the color. It was red like the heading on the website now it become red only if the mouse go on the page name. I don't think I can change that by mistake.

Thank you again for the attention.

Sorry for the spelling mistakes and if something is not clear but my English is not that good.

Regards

Petty

Hello Petty

I'm not 100% sure if I fully understand the issue you're experiencing. The red dotted line with the little red square displayed in workview of Sitebuilder that you mentioned serves to decrease or increase the dimensions of a picture added to a page. Decreasing automatically optimizes the file size because smaller pictures have a smaller file size. However, it is optimizing by changing the picture dimensions, so the picture would definitely get smaller than the original uploaded. The red-dotted line can currently only be used in Firefox.

Another option to optimize your pictures after having added them to your page is opening the Picture Widget dialogue box and click on "On" for the Optimize option.

The best way, however, is to upload already optimized pictures. I'm not sure why your graphic prorgrammes wouldn't help, but the website Pixlr.com I suggested is perfect for pre-editing your pictures before uploading them to Yola. Your pictures should all have the same dimensions, or you should have groups of pictures with the same dimensions, and they should all be 20-100KB each.

When I open any page in your Sitebuilder, the browser tab icon never stops loading and loading. I found a couple of HTML Code Wigdets on your home page which contain custom code, including Javascript. It's possible that this custom code interferes with Sitebuilder functionality and causes your menu to disappear. Please try removing these codes. The third widget contains incorrect code because it opens a head tag and never closes it. Head tags cannot be added via the HTML Code Widhet. I can see that you added your Google Webmaste code there. The correct place to add it is in the Google Webmaster box on Yola (Site > Tracking > Google Webmaster). I can also see the code there, so you should definitely delete that widget because it has no use and could be causing problems.

I've checked all other areas of you website, and I found nothing problematic except for the custom code on your home page.
