Image Size Question in using the Picture Widget

Hi,

I have just signed up a Silver package and started building my site. It's so far so good until I try to load an image using the Picture Widget.

I have created a PNG image of dimension of 900x450px (My idea is to have the image having the same width as my site banner, which is 900px After I loaded it in a Picture Widget, I found that it was scaled down and so it's now narrower than my banner. It also lost substantial quality due to the scaling. I have already turned the optimization off.

I published the site and downloaded the image. It is actually scaled to 660x330px.

Is there a way to load the image using the it's original resolution?

Thanks.

Billy

Hello Bily

I have checked your website and the image with the iPhone. On your published website I can see that the iPhone image is actually the same size as your banner image (width), but the quality has been reduced.

I have tried adding your image after editing your Site CSS with this code:
#content {

width: 900px;
}

#main {
width: 900px;

}

In Preview it looks fine, and the quality hasn't changed. Please test this on a test page, publish, and check the quality. The width, however, is the same as on your current published site.
