Images means the world of traffic! Get more visitors!

Wow, its amazing to go from 10 to 25 visitors yesterday (and every day for the last six months) to 120 visitors by noon.

So I figured I would find the exact source of this extra traffic.

by searching a VERY popular searched term - 1,000,000 monthly searches and 4.5 million search results I am the SIXTH image of 4.5 million.

if you search "human anatomy" on images.google.com the sixth or so image should be mine. Having this image ranked in this position has gotten me over 120 visitors half way through the day. That's 500% increase from any other day.

Because of this I recommend using lots of images (but not to make your site seem flooded of images) and make sure you optimize them with good alt text relevant to the page it's on.

It's only taken me 18 months, but I finally got 120 visitors to ONE page, if only the other 400 pages were as good!

TIP: Optimize images!

Out of 154 impressions, I got 3 clicks on AdSense, that's about a million percent more than usual since I don't usually get clicks! lol

Hi, I just wanted to see what you were meaning so I googled "human anatomy" and yep there you were :)

What I'd like to ask is on your site at numerous intervals down your first page there is a thingy saying "GOOGLE ADS" ??? Is this something you put there or is this something that ends up there once your site is published?

I placed those there to get paid. If I get clicks on those ads, Google pays me.

you can count on about 1% clicks. I was told that's approximately average. If you get 100 visitors, you should get round about 1 click. A click pays anywhere from $0.01 to $20.00... however, don't expect to get $20 I just know it's been known to payout that much before. I was also reading, for a weekly amount of $300 for advertising, your site would need approximately 10,000 DAILY page impressions. With all my sites combined (after my recent change in traffic)... I'm lucky to reach 350 page impressions a day.

With my page impressions of 299 yesterday, I'm going to calculate (that until my traffic changes again) I can probably expect close to $9 a week. In saying this, it's very hard to make money with google AdSense, HOWEVER, if you put in the effort, optimize your site, and get A LOT of traffic, there is excellent earning potential in it. I've read about poor people building a website on the internet they can barely afford to keep paying for end up making a few thousand a month or even more sitting at home doing something they enjoy.

you have to sign up for an account and then it takes them 24 to 72 hours usually to approve your account. After you do that, ask people here for help if you need it. I'm sure someone will help! :)

Thanks for explaining, I appreciate it :) Just getting back into building my site now after many months of leaving it alone for numerous reasons but while the bug has bitten again it's full steam ahead and I always learn so much from just reading the posts here.

yea, that ONE image indexed in Google is giving me extraordinary faith.

I had 299 visitors yesterday to that ONE page and already have almost that much tonight. I'm starting to get 6 or more clicks a day on AdSense, which is more than I've gotten in the last month or two.

I just hope a few more get indexed as good and provide me with double or triple the visitors :)

Anyways, if you need help with anything, ask me. I've learned A LOT about html and can provide some good help if you need it. :)
