Hi nicoruiz

It is certainly possible to do this, if you are using a style that allows you to change the banner image.

For more information, see: http://www.yola.com/customer-support/...

If you have any trouble with those instructions, please let us know.

I think there was another post recently about using html linking to an image in the page heading. Have you tried it?

Hi there Nico,
Are you wanting a Favicon for your site (the little image next to your name in the browser?)

To add your own favicon to your site (the little image that appears next to your URL of the browser window), this is what you need to do:

1. Click on the Properties sidebar.
2. You will see a "Favorites Icon" field (the last box at the bottom). Click on the browse button to the right of the box to browse your desktop or file manager for an image to upload.
3. To see what your favicon will look like, save and preview your page.

Please note that Internet Explorer doesn't allow favicons to be displayed next to your URL or on the tab of the window. The favicon will be displayed if the site is bookmarked and in your Favourites folder. The best option would be to change to Firefox which does show the favicons in all three areas.

If you would like more information on how to create a cross browser favicon, please check out this thread where one of our Champs has given some instructions on how to do this: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/cre...

I hope this helps.

Hello,
Unfortunately at this time it is not possible to add a logo to where the header text is, however, here is a link to an alternative for getting your logo into the banner area: How to add my logo to the banner area.

Hope this helps!

Sanja think this may be it? Not sure if it is what is sought?
Nicoruiz, ...this may assist you. At least I hope so, I have tried it out and it works ok.
So..... put your logo/header into a text/html box. Then go in to the html and copy the html image name from the < .... to the ...>, then go into the properties of the page (click on the page outside your website page to bring it up) then in the Properties Page, on the right side, place your mouse into the Page Heading, and then paste the code into there. Your image will be there.
I went looking for this in all the Yola topics and not sure who put it up first, but thank you to whoever it was.
Come back and let's know how you went with it. jenC

Great job JenC

I have always been cautious about telling people about this workaround in case people incorrectly copy the code and break the site. I should have more faith in our users' skills! My apologies!

Yes! JenC your right, I have to thank that other person too, I was to happy to notice that you got it from another; and to the Yola staff that's there like a big mother knowing right and wrong watching her children develop and progress I thank them also.

I've been thinking for a while that Yola customers would really benefit from a Yola wiki - a wiki site where all of this great information could be collated and made available. This thread really reinforces that thought,

I'll make a separate post to that effect in the appropriate place, but I'm adding it here too because this thread is such a great example of cooperative learning and sharing.

Nicoruiz, yes - they are quite marvelous aren't they? In fact, I belong to lots of things on the web and really takes up too much time. But..... with Yola it is something I just cannot go without, and have to keep a check on what is going on and questions asked. Learning lots and enjoying tremendously. Believe they are quite incredible in what they offer.

(have also put this on the thread you just posted).
Keara, yes. Have been thinking ever since I joined of this.
However, also thought that some of the things may be a little bit on the 'bit of caution' like Sanja said, so did not bring this up.

However, totally agree, as has taken me forever to go through lots and lots of questions/answers etc. Fully support.

Maybe can start that extra thread and all the coding one needs could be uploaded and placed online for all to see. (Not to those people placing in this thread...... Please put in the subject line what it is for).

As lots of questions are being asked here, when answer could be found in the old threads (depending on putting the right words in for the search of course).

So, yes. everyone. start here.
Thanks Keara, great minds thing alike!? JenC

JenC has pointed out that using "search" is often a hit-or-miss experience. a wiki is needed. Otherwise lots of possibilities are overlooked, to the detriment of everyone.
