Is it possible for me to import a downloaded version of my blogger.com blog?

Obviously, I have a blog there but I'd like to import it here so its my own. I have been blogging for a fair while so I don't want to lose the data...

Hi LeilaDee,

I'm sorry to tell you that it's not possible to import a blog from blogger.com. You can link to your 'old' blog from the new one so that visitors to your site can click through to view your old posts.

If anyone else has any suggestions - feel free to jump in!

Hi dogiron,

If you would like to add a Tumblr blog to your page, you can do so by using the Tumblr Widget.

1. Open the "Communicate" folder in the Sidebar, and drag and drop a Tumblr Widget onto your page.
2. Enter your Tumblr URL, and click "OK".

Your Tumblr feed will now be embedded in your site.

To edit your Tumblr feed's settings, hover over the Tumblr Widget, and click on "Edit" on the top left hand corner. This will open a dialog box where you can update the following settings:

1. The name of your Tumblr feed (this will be displayed on your site).
2. Choose between three different layouts.
3. Choose the maximum number of results your would like to display.
4. Choose the width of your media.
5. Change the margin, alignment, date format and display properties.

I can also suggest posting a new post when you have a new question, especially one like this, as it's a really good question that might be helpful to someone else.

Is it not possible to alter the website's A-Record to allow Tumblr or Blogger to post your blog directly to your website, and have traffic redirected from the blogsite to your website?

Thanks

Hello Polly,

There isn't a way where you can edit records so things automatically update from elsewhere in your Yola Website. You can pull in your Tumblr feed as Justine described, but it won't post to a Yola blog. Anything that you add to your Yola website will need to be added from inside the Sitebuilder. You can redirect a domain name so that it is added to a site, but not the content of the site. I hope that helps.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
