Within the tool you can add a horizontal line without having to use HTML. It would be nice to be offer the same for vertical as well so you do not have to go in and create HTML code to do so.

This is under the Basic functions.

It would be a "nice" to have.

Hello Karen,

The Horizontal line tool is actually HTML code. The Yola Widget creates a styled <hr> tag. The <hr> tag creates a horizontal line across the width of the page, and there is no HTML code option to make a Vertical line (i.e. a <vr> tag).

What you can do is add a Custom Panel to your page, set the background to none, set the borders to none, and then add a right or left border. You will then need to remove all of the corners to make the line straight.

Hope this helps,

Andi

Hi Andi -

It was more that it was a widget created by Yola that didn't require your basic person to have to create HTML code. I just find they create a widget which is great and then as you use the tool and have had to use code yourself to create something - it would be nice to have a widget created so you do not have to write code.

I know how to do it - it was just more a nice to have as an enhancement in the future.

Hi Karen,

Oh okay, I must have read the first comment wrong, it would be a good idea for Yola to make it simpler for people to add a vertical line - like a link on the start screen for the custom panel.

I use this in a text widget, unfortunately it defeats the point of your question as you have to go into the code to use it.

Hi Karen,

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll let the Product Team know that this a feature that people would like to see added to the site.
