Information pop up window?

I have a picture of a product on my home page, I would like to add some sales blurb to it - however I do not want to clutter my hompage with this info. Is there a way of creating a small pop up window that 'pops up' when a user clicks on the image. I would not need a full page just a small window to pop up with the nesessary info within it.

It would be ideal if this window could also include links.

Kind regards

Stewart

Hello Stewart,

I don't know if this website will answer all your questions but Littleus has addressed many of these issues with her http://www.dejavuapparel.info

She has included tootlips and all kinds of available but not apparent help hints along the way.

Hi Stewart

Have you considered using a Pop-it menu script? It's quite customizable. You can see how I've used it on my site: http://dejavuapparel.yolasite.com Hover over the "store" icon.

If this is something you're interested in, you could go to the aYola Code Site. Be sure to read the rules and how to grab the code.

Let us know if this helps.

Thanks Littleus - That is the sort of thing I am looking for - do you have a tutorial on how to use Yola Code site? I do not want to run the risk of messing anything up. I have read the rules about only one person being logged in at any one time etc. sorry to be a nuisance.

This isn't a very good method considering all firefox users have a pop-up blocker as well as Opera.

They would have to add a exception to allow pop-ups, I don't allow pop-ups for any site.

You must have a very high level of pop-up blocker. I also have it but I can access it. This is the first time I heard someone not being able to access the menu from the store.

it doesnt block for me - as it wouldnt for 99% of people - this code is known as browser friendly. :) It doent really even come into the pop up category.
