Hi Corey,

We currently have a known issue where all URLs have www.example.com as the primary (canonical) domain. This means that even if you configure your DNS settings with your domain registrar, and you elect not to have the "www", your domain will resolve with the "www" included when you publish your site on Yola. We are working on a solution that will allow you to decide whether you want the "www" or not.

We can manually make the change for you so that your site is published to an address without "www" and if you would like to go ahead with that, please post your site's address here.

If your domain is not yet pointed to Yola, please make sure you have 2 A records set up to support your address with and without "www". Both A records should point to 208.75.208.172.

Once we have fixed the bug, you will be able to choose whether you want to use the "www" or not. Many people actually want to use "www" whereas others prefer not to. It is purely an aesthetic decision and it does not affect your SEO or PageRank either way. However, we do apologize for any inconvenience caused by this unexpected change on our side.

Are you talking about when you type your name in the search bar or in the address bar? If it's in the address bar your site should load with or without the www.
If you are talking about the search bar, that is up to how popular the search engine
finds your search query, or whether your site is listed.

Strange how we interpret questions differently, hey Marije ;-)

Oh gosh, totally! Corey - I may be way off the mark :) As an addition, if you publish a site on Yola, it will work with and without the 'www'.

I was talking about in the address bar. If I type in just myeasyrefund.org it goes to the windows live admin center. I think Marijie had it right. I would prefer my website to to work without the www. if we can change it to work without it that would be great.

it depends on your browser and search settings... if your default search is live or bing and you type in myeasyrefund.org then it will most likely pull up a list, but if your default search is google then it should go to the site... however, you should always use the http://www. or http:// to assure yourself you don't get the search results list.

With my settings, using google as my default search, I can type in youcanneverbetoosmart.com and it'll take me to my site. If I was to change my default to bing, then typing it in will pull up a list... most search engines don't recognize an Universal Resource Locator without including the http:

Hi Corey,

The reason why http://myeasyrefund.com goes to Windows Live is because you've added a CNAME to your DNS settings to do so. I can see that you have two CNAME's - one for myeasyrefund.com and one for mail.myeasyrefund.com. Would you like me to delete one of them? Alternatively, you would need to login to your account delete one of them in the Advanced DNS settings.

Hi Corey - I think you want to have it the other way around :) Where mail.myeasyrefund.org goes the mail login page and your actual address with and without 'www' goes to your website. I've made that change for you and it may take a few hours to take effect. Please let me know if you need any other help.
