Is Yola having tech issues right now?

I have had trouble the last 3 days looking at stock photos and now the website builder is broken up.  I have had this issue on 3 different desktops and 3 different internet connections so I'm pretty sure it's not on my end.  Is Yola having tech issues right now?

I'm having trouble, too. My website http://www.simplyeighties.com is looking very strange in the builder with the background only showing at the top of the page. Hope this can be resolved soon!

This seems to be a technical issue. We're aware of it, and our engineers are working on a fix. I'll update this thread, once we have any news. I'm sorry for the inconvenience this is causing right now.

Hi Stefan,

I'm afraid there is still a problem with my site. Although the background is now okay, the width of the columns has altered, with the left column being far too wide and forcing the right column to be too narrow. If you check the published version of the home page it is fine (my site was published before the problem started) but in the site builder the left column is way too wide now.

I hope this problem can be sorted soon as I need to update my site. Thank you.

It's sad that I was not able open a new page on my website during the times where sales and deals were huge up until now.

My site is http://www.lashstuff.com/ .  The published site is fine.  The site builder is broken up still.

Hi Jess,

First I must say, your published site is really lovely, well done! I noticed you have other domains that you direct to your published site. I highly suggest you simply assign all your domains to your main website meaning anytime one of your domains is entered into a browser your visitor will be redirected to lashstuff.com without having to click through. Here's how to do it!

Were you receiving a "Sorry, something went wrong." error? If so, we have resolved the problem and were able to access your site in the Sitebuilder without issue. Please let me know if you're seeing a different problem.

AFTER LAST YOLA UPDATE, MY TEMPLATE HAS BECOME UNUSABLE.
In fact, now each page has a green internal background, making the text impossible to read (before the green was just on the lateral background)
Here is the difference:

How can I resolve this big problem??
And why this happened?? I didn't make any change in the style section of Yolasitebuilder!

Please help.
Thanks

Hi Francesco,

We believe this has been resolved. Can you please start a new session in your Sitebuilder and let us know if you are still seeing any problems?

Hi.

The color has been restored but a new problem occurs now with the template I am using, which is called BRIGHT IDEAS.

More precisely, adding a text widget or a picture widget into a page is extremely slow! Basically, you have to drag the widget for several seconds before it reaches the center of the page! Before, this kind of operation was a lot faster and easier.

Could you please test this specific template and see if you detect the same problem?

I have the same problem with adding widgets - they're painfully slow to drag across the page! The column widths on my site have altered, too.

Is anyone going to let me know what's going on please? It's been 10 hours since I last heard from anyone at Yola and I currently have a messed up website that I can't edit!

Hello all

We're busy working on this issue. It's been partly solved - Mark, you should see your background covering the whole page again. We're still working on sorting out the rest. All I can ask you for is your patience. We'll keep you updated on this thread.

Hi.

Today I have been called by a Yola Customer Support Agent who was very kind and suggested me to change the layout of the page to one column. However, after doing so, the lower part of the page has became completely messed up.

I am willing to wait patiently as you asked but please don't let Yola Customer Support Agents call customers and give "possible workaround", because in my case the situation has worsened.

Thanks

Hi there,

I hope you will update this thread today as it's now been three days since I have been able to update my website and there is still a major problem with the size of the columns on my website. I am trying to be patient, but it seems to be taking a long time to resolve this issue and it feels like there's a lack of urgency here. The problem has come at the worst possible time of the year in the run up to Christmas, and I just hope this doesn't drag on for much longer.

Kind regards

Mark

Another problem also seems to have developed with image sizes on my site. They appear to overlap other columns in the editor, but when I preview a page everything seems fine. This update is really messing up my site.

Hi all,

I can assure you that our engineers are treating this as a matter of urgency and have just released a change that will address everyone whose content was pushing outside of their Custom Panel Widgets. It may be helpful to understand that what the original change was trying to address was the ability for pages to resize dynamically regardless of screen size. At this point we need to look at each page that is still affected to confirm if the issues you are seeing are specifically related to the bug our engineers are actively working on or if there are separate problems at play. The best way for us to do this is via direct support so we can evaluate each site and keep you updated. If you already have an individual support ticket logged, you do not need to do anything further and you will continue to be updated about your specific website via email. We will of course keep this thread updated with relevant information as well. We do appreciate your continued patience and understand the impact of the poor timing. We will continue to work through this with you until it is resolved.

I know how you all feel. I haven't updated my site since 2nd Dec and had to abandon my Christmas campaign. It's taken me almost six years to perfect my site and one disastrous update to undo all of that work!

hi,
in the page I reported today by email, the last 2 column divider cannot be deleted.
The html code of this page is probably broken.

This reply was created from a merged topic originally titled Blog Page Issues - Right side Overlaps.

It looks as though Yola has made some changes to at least their blog page template. It looks like there are now a bunch of boxes for things. I have the main page of my website set up as a blog for years and now the right side column, specifically the box where I have my contact buttons, is over lapping the boxes on the left. I had these contact buttons position with three across but now the page is a mess. Can anyone give me some instruction as to how to fix this and get it back to 3 across for that box and not overlapping?

Thanks!

Laura - I posted an issue in the forum yesterday and it looks like my topic was merged with this one. I just filled our a Direct Support ticket and hoping to hear back soon.   Momsfunmoney.com

Same weird issue with the right side bar being too small so it is overlapping and looks really bad. Unfortunately for me the page is published so all my readers see it all messed up :((

Similar issue with the columns. The pictures on my site changed sized, with sometimes columns overlapping or floating out of the margin when published. Now all colums on mobile device appear the same as desktop viewing except the content is crammed, with content on some columns not even showing. While editing some content doesn't show on the preview nor when published, and some custom pannels can not even be deleted. There is new content and updates I want to publish but just can't work this way

Hi everyone! There has been an improvement with the look of my site today in the editor, and it now looks much better in the mobile view. It's not perfect, and the left column is still rather wide on pages with two columns, but I'm feeling more confident that I may soon be able to publish an update again.

We're glad you are seeing the progress we've been making. The last thing pending for your website is a fix for the AdSense Widget which we expect shortly. We will follow up via direct email when it's completed.

Hi Laura, unfortunately, the problem remains with the column sizes. There has been no improvement with regards to the columns, and the right column is still too narrow which is why adsense is being pushed out of the column. The only solution I have is to widen the site (which I have done in the editor but haven't published it yet), but then I'm unsure as to how the pages will look on a tablet - are the templates responsive?

I also have videos that adjust to the width of the column (set at 100% with) and I will have to alter the height of each video on every page as they look too narrow, and I have hundreds of videos!

Can you please indicate the page(s) you are referring to Mark? Your homepage looks identical to me in Preview mode to your published site except for the new AdSense widget. If you had manual margins creating your columns we will have to fix those for you manually.

I have published the site today, so they will now look identical. I would be very grateful for any help to adjust the right column in the two column mode (with the left column bigger than the right) so it is wider like it used to be. The 336px  width adsense ad used to fit in the right hand column but now it doesn't. Thank you.

Hi everyone. There is now a serious problem with the 336px width Adsense ads not displaying in their full size in the right hand column and this is likely to have a serious effect on my income as this is my most clicked advert. The same problem still remains that the right column is too narrow. Unfortunately, widening my site is not an option as it is too wide for displaying on tablets and also makes the videos on the site look too narrow as they're set to 100% width.

I hope that the adsense problem isn't going to last for too long. I would rather have the adsense adverts being pushed out of the content area (as I can make the white background wider). Cutting off the display of the ad is ridiculous!

Hi Mark,

I responded to your email request just moments again. We would like to go into your account and override the column sizes ever so slightly to fit your advertisement into the right hand column. The only noticeable difference would be your advertisements fitting again (the right hand column would be ever-so-slightly larger). Please let us know if we have your permission to go in and make these changes. Thanks!

Hi there Brianna. Yes, of course you can. I have just widened the site recently using CSS to make the ads fit (until the problem is sorted) but I have now put it back to default size (in the site builder) to avoid any confusion! Thank you.

Hi Brianna. Yes, my site is looking like its old self again, at last! I notice that your chief engineer added some code to the top of the CSS alterations which adjusts the size of the columns. Very handy indeed and this means I can adjust the widths to my hearts content.

I also notice that since your update images, videos etc.now adjust to the size of the column. Although this has caused some problems, it has actually made the products pages on my site look a whole lot neater as everything is the same size.

Anyway, everything seems fine now and thanks for your help.

Kind regards, Mark.
