I submitted a sitemap provided by Yola to my Google Webmaster account a couple of months ago. Since then I have made some drastic changes to my website - do I need to submit a new sitemap to Google, or does it automatically update?

Thanks.

Hi Polly,

Thanks for your message. If your website is indexed on Google, the new changes will appear, however it takes a bit of time. Please be assured that as long as you haven't published your site to a new domain, you should not need to re-verify your site with Google.

If you have made changes to your site I agree unless by changes you mean adding new pages. If you make new pages instead of waiting for Google resubmit your site map so they know right away and the clock starts ticking on your new page being indexed. Each new page is a new chance to be found and the sooner it is indexed the sooner someone may find it.
