Is it possible to change the banner size? Say that the banner size of my Style is 900px by 126px and I want it to be 900px by 50px so that I can have the rest of my page a bit closer to the top. This is because I only want to have a small image in my banner and give more space to the rest of the page so that people don't have to scroll down so often.

Hello Gonzalo,

It can be possible to do this. Can you please let me know if you are using Yola Silver or Yola Free? Also, can you let me know what style you are using?

Hello Sanja,
Thanks for your quick reply. I'm using Yola Bronze and the style is Cleanslate gray
I could also use another style if that means more space for my content.

Hello Gonzalo,

Here's the code you would need to make this adjustment. You will need to add this to each page in an HTML Widget:

<style type="text/css">

#sys_banner{
width:900px;
height:50px;

}
</style>

After adding this, you will need to go into your Banner editor and shift your banner.

If you want a quick way to make these changes to your all your pages at once, I suggest upgrading to Yola Silver so that you have access to the Site CSS feature. You would then add this code:

#sys_banner{
width:900px;
height:50px;
}

I hope that helps!

Hello, I'm having the same problem I think.
But, I have Yola free and am using style, Simple Frame.
The banner on that style is a certain size, my picture which I insert to replace the default picture in the banner doesn't fit at it's normal size, and I have to make it smaller to make it fit and even afterwards, it makes lots of white empty space on either side, I want my banner capacity to fit around my picture so it won't take so much space.

Hello Sajid-M,

If your site is published, do you mind sharing your URL so that we can take a look at this issue.

Upgrading to Yola Silver enables you access to the Site CSS feature which will address the issue that you're describing.

Thanks again.

Hello Sajid-M,

Thanks for your patience. Since you have Yola Free, you would need to use inline coding. Drag over an HTML Widget and add this code:

<style type="text/css">
div#sys_banner{
width:525px;
height:195px;

}
</style>

If you adjust the numbers, this should adjust the size of your banner area accordingly. You will need to add this to every page that you want to change the banner area size.

Alternatively, by upgrading to Yola Silver, you can add the code just once to your Site CSS and it will apply instantly to all your pages. If you decide to go this route, all you need to do is just add this part:

div#sys_banner{
width:525px;
height:195px;

}

I hope that helps!
