Is it possible to create/add a pre order button to my web site? I want customers to pre order an item without taking payment. But to keep a log of the orders for when the item comes back in stock.

Thanks guys!

Hi, you should try Googling it. That might give you some good search results on this. Maybe someone else will respond with better information.

Hey you can go to www.jotform.com make a free form then embed it...or you can put it on it's own page and then go to bannerfans.com and make a free banner aka it will let you make buttons too then just take this and paste it on your home page..if you want an example go to my website..www.lilmissprincessboutique.us I have done alot of this if you need anything else just let me know..good luck

Hello Lee,
Possibly it would work for you to use the PayPal Widget in the Sitebuilder and make the price of the produce $0.0 and in the description let your customers know that this is for pre-ordering and they won't be charged anything, and when the item comes back in stock you will email them and they can come and make the purchase. So you could have two "Single Product" Widgets, one for $0.0 when it is on backorder, and one with the actual price for people to come back and purchase.

Here is a link to the tutorial on adding an online store: Online Store Tutorial.

I hope this information is helpful!

Have you considered the option that LilMiss provided above? That may better suit your needs?

Im not sure how she means to do it. I tried the Palpal option. They do not let you have 0.00 as a price.

Lill miss could you explain what you mean?

All I got from your answer was to make a banner, or a form. I suppose a form might work, I need to capture name, email. mainly, so I can notify once in stock.

Hi Lee,
Sorry about that. I tested making a product $0.0 and it seemed to work fine. However, now when I add it to the cart PayPal does as you to insert an amount, so I guess that won't work :(

Possibly LilMiss can explain a bit more about what her suggestion entails.
