Hello Drummer,
Do you mean is it possible to call an image from elsewhere using HTML, I'm not sure what you mean by use and image made with HTML. The banner image area can only have an image added as an image file such as a .gif or .jpg. Please let us know if that does not answer your question.

Hello Drummer

I am quite familiar with Cooltext. Can you please let me know if you have added special effects to your logo which will require you to download 2 images or if it's just one image?

Hello John

You sure can make your own banners if you wish! It's a great way to personalize your site.

There are quite a few banner making programs on the Internet if you would like to create your own. I have used a few programs which worked quite nicely if you would like to give them a try: Banner Fans and Banner Maker Pro, (this is not a free program, but they do have a free trial available).

Here is a link to our public forum where a group of users were discussing this topic and gave lots of good ideas: What is the best banner making program.

Make sure to look at the dimensions of the banner area of your style (this will be displayed at the bottom of the dialog box when you click on the banner area) so that you can create your banner to be the proper size.

Yola offers a selection of styles that allow you to change the banner image. If the banner image can be changed, this will be indicated when you mouseover the banner image.

To change the banner image:

1. Click on directly on the banner image on your page.
2. A dialog box will open up. Select "Change Banner Image".
2. Another dialog box will open, allowing you to either browse your computer for an image or choose an image from the File Manager.
3. Once you select your image, you will be taken to the Banner Editor.
4. You can crop and resize your banner image.
5. Once done, click on "OK" and your banner image will be added to your page.
6. Click on "Save" for the banner image to be saved to your page.
7. You have the option to apply this image to all pages of your site by selecting the "Apply to All" option from the dialog box.

Here is a link to more information on the attributes of the different styles: Yola Style Guide.

The computer I'm on is a Mac (the one with the apple on top).
And I have tried to download the image to the computer so that I could upload it to my file manager. Once the Logo/Image was done I chose SAVE. When I went to upload it to my File Manager, I couldn't find it on my computer. So that is why I am asking what I am asking, There was also a button that said GET HTML or something. So I was wondering, is it possible to put HTML in the banner area?

Hello Drummer

It is not possible to upload HTML onto your banner area. You can locate your image file probably in your downloads folder on your Mac. Go to your Finder Icon and navigate to your folder - most likely is the icon with the house. Go to your Downloads folder and see if you can locate it there.

Please let me know how this goes.

Hi
I personally use cooltext a lot, and you will need to download the image, upload it then put it in as a banner that way.
If you don't upload, I dont think it will work.
