It may be something I have missed in the settings or file manager, but is there any way to track how many times a file has been downloaded from your site? And maybe to display that number next to the download link?

Hello grimbarian. You can do this with various analytics facilities including Google Analytics and other specific scripts designed for this purpose.

Thanks Gop,

I had wondered if there was anything natively in Yola's sitebuilder as I'm very much new to this.

Thanks for the answer, I'll check those links out.

Let us know what your experience is or if you need more resource, i'm sure there is enough experience here to work with you on this. It's not a commonly requested or mentioned aspect. Maybe not one that I recall having come across here before?

Another tool that is useful is http://statcounter.com. This will also record the number of times someone downloads the file and is quite easy to implement.
