Hi Debbie

I am attaching a screenshot of what I think is your adbrite ad.

Can you tell me if:
1) That is the correct location of the ad?
2) That is what it is supposed to look like?

I think you have a great website concept and excellent content. I am sure many people will find your site very appealing!

However, I do think there is too much content on your homepage. Your homepage should serve as more of an introduction to the rest of your site with links to content elsewhere on the site that people can click through to. This will probably keep people on your site for longer than if you put too much on your homepage.

I am sure there are others who will also have some great advice for you, so let's see what they have to say!

Thank you for that and yes that was adbrite, I am going to take a lot of the homepage content off now and try to make it simpler. I thought there was too much content and thought for some silly reason it would make people want to look. Watch this site I will do my best ( i hope )

If you want my honest opinion - yes it is too much - the adverts in the top left take priorty over the content of the page - i would lose them if i were you.

I also would advise moving the long center coloumn of text into a single column, paragraph style block of text at the top of the page. The 'tools for parents' page is a much better example of a well set out, easy to read page.

Hope this helps. Lee.

Good plan! Think of your homepage as the introduction to a book, and use that to help you decide what belongs there, and what should live somewhere else. Let us know how it goes!

works for me. The only thing i think now is , are the text links 'special children' and the other one needed - have you noticed when clicked you can not return back to your site - the back button is disabled.

It would be better if you linked to other pages on your site.

Lee.
