My url www.thefarmhousehartebeestfontein.co.za is being directed to the host server. When I contacted them they told me to refresh the page, I did this and get this error 'Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.' can somebody please help me as my site has been down for over a week.
I get the same message if I use http://thefarmhousehartebeestfontein....

Hi, Jenny,

First, in order to point a domain from an external host, you will need to upgrade to Yola Silver. Once you upgrade, you need to add two A records pointing to our IP address. Please see our tutorial for instructions: Pointing a domain.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

Hi Diane, thanks for your reply. I have had a 'free' account with Yola fro a while now and had my domain name pointing for just on a year. I remember reading that Yola would not penalise accounts that already had a domain pointing to their yola site without upgrading to Yola Silver. This problem that I am experiencing has only happened within the last week. Has Yola now changed their policy? I would love to upgrade to Yola Silver but it works out to be very expensive with the exchange rate. I guess that I will have to look at re-doing my site with a local host.
Regards,
Jenny

Hi Jenny,
If you had your domain pointing to Yola and your site published to it before the changes we made by adding domain pointing to Yola Silver then you can definitely keep that for this domain.

I have taken a look at the settings for thefarmhousehartebeestfontein.co.za and don't see that there are A Records set up at this time pointing to our ip address, the A Records are pointing to 41.76.208.24.

If you had this domain name pointed to Yola previously then the problem is with your domain host as it appears that the DNS records are no longer pointing to Yola. If you can contact them and get that worked out you can then email us at support@yola.com and we can make sure that you have domain pointing enabled on your account.

Let me know how if we can further assist you.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

Thanks Emmy. At least I know where the problem is. I am busy changing my host as I am dissatisfied with the service I have (not) been receiving. I will set the A records to point to 184.72.229.176 as per the tutorial. If I have any problems I will get back to you. Thank you for your assistance thus far.
Regards,
Jenny

You bet Jenny, good luck :) Unfortunately it is not possible to fully transfer in a .co.za domain to Yola at this time, but if you should ever want to look into purchasing a domain from Yola then we can fully manage everything related to DNS for you as well as provide you with custom email. Just a thought and please let me know if I can assist you with anything in the future.

Kind Regards,
Emmy
