Hi Lotus,

It is not possible for you to add php files to your site. I'm sorry I don't have better news for you in this matter.

If you can give us some more information about the function of the script you are trying to add, perhaps we can suggest an alternative.

This answers another question that I have been working on this week also. The emal shopping cart would work well with synthasite because it is just adding buttons like you do with paypal. Would need to be able to use a php script with it to utilize an inventory though. Guess google and paypal are the way to go right now. Question is answered for me and I can just let it live the way it is. Off to work on other things now! Thanks for the info kershnee.

Hi Marc,
Thank you for the feature request; unfortunately the Yola Site Builder does not support adding php scripting at this time. You might be able to use littleus' idea of hosting the files elsewhere. You can also check out our tutorials on search engine optimization for more ideas on how to increase your search engine visibility: SEO Tutorials as well as a webinar at yola.tv titled Introduction to SEO.

I hope this information will be helpful!

Not supporting PHP is a real disadvantage and challenge for yola it seems but introducing such a service would give the yola hosting service a major competitive advantage over their competitors (e.g competitive advantage over webs.com). I have also noticed that yola has an aggressive marketing campaign running at the moment. The PHP feature would be a greate addition to yola hosting.

Hello Vas,
Thanks for letting us know what you are interested in seeing. We don't have specific plans to introduce this type of a feature at this time.
