Hello,

I am using a rss feed for my site content and it returns a incorrect adress.

Also when i click the return to home page link on a 404 page i get an incorrect adress.

try - http://hexham.info/nopage

Is something wrong with the DNS perhaps?

Lee.

Hi Lee,

Can you tell me where the RSS feed is on your site and give a bit more information about how you have implemented it so I can take a look at it.

Also, what you are seeing on the 404 page (the broken link) is a known bug that we are working on fixing. We're sorry for the inconvenience.

Thanks,
Emmy

Hi Emmy,

I'm using a google feed creator when this is produced it gives a incorrect URL - see here 'new business @ hexham.info' http://hexham.info/forum

It was the 404 page thing i wanted to ask Yola about more - i'll check with Google and see if the other issue is something i have done iwth their settings, if its not i'll get back to you.

Hi Emmy,

I had a quick look at the 404 page, the link back is set as just 'hexham.info', so the browser presumes its another page in the same directory, all it needs is the http:// added and it would work.

Seems like an easy fix to an important porblem. If you could get an official explination of the reason its not fixed and any complexities i probably dont see that would be great.

Thanks Emmy, Lee.

thanks Emmy, A bit of technical info just for my own learning purposes would be much appreciated.

I love draining the Yola tech team of their valuble knowledge :)

Hi there Lee,

I am very happy to report this this bug has been fixed and the link on the 404 page will now take the visitor back to your site's home page. Please make sure to re-publish your site. Thanks so much for your patience while we worked on that, we do appreciate it!
