When I click "View" in File Manager the URL for the image is a mile long.

Is there a shorter URL I can use for my images?

Thats is not the actual url of the image.
Thats just the sitebuilder one.

What you need to do is publish and then take
everything from resources and over and put that in the html like:

<img src="resources/other/image-url.png" />

Hi Shawn & Nazlie,

In my original question I forgot to mention that these images will not necessarily be published on the pages of my website. They are images I am going to use in a slideshow generator and that will be used on my website, so the images won't necessarily have their own page address so to speak.

I don't know if that makes a difference to the answer but just thought I'd throw that in there. I'm a little unclear what it means to take everything from resources? But perhaps this additional explanation changes that?

Thanks!

Farragio,

As long the slideshow ends up on the site where the images are on then use:

resources/other/image-url.png

If its not then just use:

http://yourothersite.com/resources&#4...

Hi Shawn,

Sorry to be so dense about this but I'm still not quite understanding the resource thing.

I'm using on off-site slideshow generator that will generate code that I will then use on my Yola site. I need the URL for the images to put into the generator. In either of the address samples you've listed I need an image-url. How do I know what that URL is if the images aren't published on the website and are only in my File Manager?

That's fine, I'm here to help :)

OK well your going to have a SiteBuilder URL when you click VIEW that looks something like this:

http://sitebuilder.yola.com/restricted_view/site_design/8a4986c930bf14060130c5355fef1f2c/resources/wood-design-youtube.png

Now you see that:

resources/wood-design-youtube.png
???

That's all you will need for a Gallery on your site
But if its not, you can actually use the SiteBuilder URL or you can do for example:

http://client.weebuild.biz/resources&...

Still don't get it? Just ask and ill try an explain again.
