Hi Jass,

You can create a link on your text where it will open in a new tab or window when visitors to your site click on it. Here's how:
1. Upload the music file by clicking on the File Manager button on the SynthaSite toolbar
2. Add a text widget to your page, add text and then highlight the text you would like the link to be on and click on the link button on the text toolbar (to the left of 'insert image')
3. Add the link to the file by choosing the 4th option in the link editor
4. Then, click on the HTML button in the text toolbar and insert target= "blank" into the code like this example:
<!-- This is a <a href="resources/musicfile.mp3" target="blank">link to a music file</a> -->

- Please ignore <!-- and --> they are there to stop the code from being interpreted
- Make sure that you've included the folder name if your file is in a folder in the File Manager (eg resources/musicfolder/musicfile.mp3)

Please note: current thinking in web usability circles is that links that open in a new window are a bad idea for a number of reasons. Click here:, for a great article
