Is there a way to personalize the description for my website ad on Google? My website looks great! I just set up Google AdSense with it as well. I searched Google to see if my website would show up, I typed in Flash Canada 1 in the search bar and my website came up at the number one spot! but is there a way to edit the description so I can describe briefly what my website offers? Thanks for your time.

if you click an empty part of the screen in your editor and goto the content side bar , you will see the properties of the page - fill in the descritpion. That will show up in google - good luck

by the way your site looks great - i wish i could design like that.

A couple more things to think about.
1. in the same area as i mentioned above, add favorite icons to your pages.
2. google offer free mail from your domain you@flashcanada1.com - 'google' google apps standard edition , from there its esy to set it up.

apart from that the site is amazing

Lee.

it will show next time the google bot is sniffing around in your direction - about 3 weeks.

Well done getting to the top spot- also, have you filled in the keywords for your site?

Hi Andy1, I just wanted to add to the comments that Google doesn't always display the page description that you put into your meta tags - Google bases the snippet it shows on a number of factors.

To quote Google's help pages:

"Google's creation of sites' titles and descriptions (or "snippets") is completely automated and takes into account both the content of a page as well as references to it that appear on the web.

We use a number of different sources for this information, including descriptive information in the META tag for each page."

While there's a good chance that your meta tags will be shown on Google, I wanted to post this so you didn't panic if they don't update as you'd like.

Congrats on your placement!
