I got my domain from godaddy, so I know I can do that.

You could try Duke's suggestions. Please note that it is not possible to transfer a single site between two accounts, but you can change the login details for a whole account. If you have a site that you wish to transfer to someone else, make sure it is the only site in the account.

Sales of websites are known as "Web Designers" a designer designs from a
scratch not a free online designer, and what happens if the customer wants
remove the footer stating that it was made by Yola?
If it was designed for free, Why sell it.
As many of the Yola ads say "I designed a website, You can too!" all these
ads would become irrelevant if mass productions of websites are to come to
pass.

Yola is a free and easy web builder but some people dont have the time to make a complete site. Also whether its built in Yola or in dreamweaver etc makes no difference... a well made high ranking site is the same thing where ever its built or hosted.
I think someone has every right to sell their Yola site. They are basically selling their own hard work and time.
Obvisly it would be the strength of the site which would sell it and determine its price, i really dont think it would alter Yolas sign up figures if anything it would improve them. An advert on Ebay never hurt anyone.

Anyone designing a site with Yola that they wish to sell, will have to show how they have earned their money. They can do this by bringing their own design skill, innovation and creativity to bear, while using the free Yola toolset.
There are many people who sign up for free and build their own sites with Yola, and we encourage and support these people.
There are also the people who do not have the time or the inclination to build their own sites who wish to pay others to do it for them. Web designers use Yola for this purpose, and we support them as well. In fact we hope to see a great deal more of this in future and plan to build features to support it (including the option to remove the Yola footer for a fee).
We regard the use of Yola to build sites for others as a perfectly legitimate use of our toolset. The price and terms of sale needs to be agreed on by the buyer and the seller. Good business practice dictates that one charge a fair price and deliver a quality service in return. Anyone who fails to do so will quickly go out of business.
At the same time we continue to market our free service and let people know that they can build their own websites, easily and free of charge. Nevertheless, we know that some people might choose not to build their own, but still want a site. I can knit myself a sweater, but I would still rather pay someone more skilled, who enjoys knitting more than I do, to knit it for me. I do this because I happen to want to use my time for other activities, but I still want and need a sweater. Some people might feel the same way about building websites.

It's happening already and that's really reassuring to users.
The e-bay idea fascinates me. It's a product that couldn't be more easily presented for ebay.
The Yolabay day is dawning

I think using the Yola site builder and free hosting service is a great way to become a Webmaster for hire. This would be a way to supplement an income for stay at home moms/dads,retired persons or if it just sounds like something you would enjoy doing.
There are many small brick and mortar businesses or organizations looking to have some sort of a web presence.
You can offer up some great advantages for using your service.
Most small companies are not going to have IT people on the payroll....You are a company for hire and not on their payroll.
We all know there are many that are still intimidated by the use of the net and computers...You will find this true with many small businesses.Trust me I have had business dealings with a few thousand small companies over the years....If something isn't in their software they use for accounting/sales/purchasing many are lost....You however are not intimidated or lost.
Some may not have internet at their shop but would still like a web presence. You can get their shop listed on Local Business listings that Google,MSN or Yelp offer for free.....along with a link to their site showing more details of what they have to offer.
(Yelp listings require that a business has to be a place customers can visit and rate in person)
With the ease of Yola and free hosting a nice little 5 to 10 page web site can be offered at a much lower price than they would normally have to pay.
If your client has problems or wants things added to their site later you could easily modify remotely at your desktop for them....Offer to stay on retainer as their Webmaster .Your client could be almost anywhere on the planet.I see it as a web presence just became affordable for almost any business.
For those clients that would like to maintain their own website you get to offer up support by informing them and signing them up on Get Satisfaction so they may use the Yola customer service forum as needed.
If you are new to this start small...Use a free sub domain and see if either a friend with a small business or your local church would be interested in you doing this for them for free.....This way when you are ready to offer services for hire you have a little experience and maybe a recommendation.

I don't make my websites in DreamWeaver.
I do it from scratch using Windows Notepad, Seems hard but i do it starting with
"<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml...>
"
Yola is somewhat close to what dreamweaver does, But not quite as many tools as Dw Has because its not 1GB in size.
And yes, all websites have some bad errors. Mine has some wrong grammar, but i'd like to reveal to the public im 13 years old. And yes it seems odd.
I started using yola when i was 12 (Actually Synthasite at the time) and i decided one thing that has much to do with your main saying "Stop Browsing, Start building"
I decided that i was not going to be a follower anymore, What i mean by this is following other websites such as Myspace, Yahoo, Hotmail and/or other web services. I decided i wanted to be the leader and i thought "If they did it, why cant i?" so i searched on Google as many do with the terms "Free Website Buider" the 1st result was Syntahsite, So i started from there. Syntasite helped alot in aiding my future website. And i thank the staff of Yola for doing this website otherwise mine wouldn't be up now.
Sincere Thoughts,

The download website feature is for people who would like to build their site with Yola and then host it elsewhere - there are some technological limitations to doing this, as the web hosts must be able to serve PHP websites. You can read more about here: Download your site and host it elsewhere. It is important to note that once the site is hosted elsewhere, we are not able to offer support if there are problems because it is no longer hosted in our environment.
It is possible to download the site and upload it again later. However, the site will still be on your account. You will not be able to host it on someone else's account.
If the person who is interested in your site has a Yola account too, it is possible for us to transfer the site to their account as a one-time courtesy. You will need to email us at support@yola.com with your login email, their login email and the website to be transferred.
I hope this information is useful to you. If you have more questions or need help, please let us know.
Thank you
Nazlie
