Is there an easy way to get line separators for my site?

I am trying to clean up my website's view and one of the biggest issues I would like to address is the lack of line separators between each (sorry if my lingo is wrong) widget box. For instance, if there are two text boxes I am using and I want to have readers easily differentiate with a line, how can I create that line?

I have tried the advice from this post: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/mak...

but all I am seeing that it draws a line of that length, but it extends the html box I post it in the general length so it doesn't actually separate anything (and I could only see it working if I had a 3 column site layout with this separator as the middle column).

Ideally someone could tell me a way to create a line separator for a text or picture box.

Maybe the above advice is the right way to do it and I'm not doing it right. Just hoping for some help and imput

I guess another way to do it would to make a column divider and then another column divider in it with the HTML in the middle and shrunken very small. Not ideal, but I guess it might work if nobody ends up having an easy way to do it

Hi Michael

The Column Divider is one way to create vertical dividers between 2 Text Widgets and the one in the forum post is another.

You could also add some CSS to the Text Widget:

  1. Click on the HTML icon in the Text Editing Toolbar in the Text Widget. This opens up the HTML Editing screen.

  2. Add this bit of code at the top:
    <div style="border-right: 1px solid #black;">Text Widget contents here</div>

You can change the color of the border using the codes in an HTML Color Chart.

Hope others have more ideas for you about this!

Thank you
Nazlie
