Are Yola servers down. I cannot get my website to load and I get "problem loading page" when I try to open my website abslawncare.com. I also tried to log into my Yola account and I cannot get page to load for Yola either. Its not an internet connection issue as all other websites I go to load quickly and completely as usual.

I'm sorry stormy. I'm sure that was quite disconcerting. It quickly came upon us with no warning. Please stay tuned to this thread for further updates on what's happening and we'll try to get this resolved as soon as we can.

Just an update on what's going on:

Our engineers are working with our upstream provider to resolve the problem. Unfortunately it looks like this may be a denial of service (DOS) attack. We will keep you updated as much as we can.

Thanks again for your patience!

Thanks much, Sanja, for letting us know what the problem is.

I do agree, though, with some of the others who commented. I can think of about 3 places/ways Yola could have given us a heads-up about the technical issue:

1. email
2. front page / Yola.com
3. front page of this community forum

It's not cool to have all these paying customers staring at the screen when trying to see our site -- and getting a Google message that says the site can't be found.

This causes mild panic. I'm wondering if I "broke" my website, and how on Earth I'll ever retrieve the many hours of work that I put into it...

I'm wondering maybe you all didn't get my payment for the site...

I'm wondering if my site's been hijacked, and if I need to worry about my bank account, etc. now.

Why do this to us? A little message would have been nice.

But again: I truly do appreciate that I "stumbled upon" this thread explaining that I've, in fact, done nothing wrong.

im glad im not the only one that thinks a mass email should have went out to us users. #2 would be nice if it would have even loaded and #3 i had to try a few times to get this to come up. oh wow was i freaked when i typed in my site and came up blank

Yea --- I freaked out too! Not cool.... I think that when Yola found out about the problem - they should have emailed everyone in a mass email to let them know whats happened and how long they anticipate fixing so everyone else can then notify the people they need to ... or at least not freak out themselves....

I have had a couple of people tell me recently that they are unable to see my Home Page (index page). When they type in my web address (Throttle215MxPark.com) it takes them to an empty screen. However, if they type in Throttle215MxPark/media.com, it takes them to the media page for example. They are unable to get to the index page.

The two parties that have mentioned this to me are using Windows 7. I am using Vista and XP as well as a Mac and have not experienced this problem. Can you shed some light on this for me?

Thank you

Hey guys!

Good news! Yola.com and the Sitebuilder are now back up and running. Unfortunately our hosted sites are still down. We realize that this is a significant inconvenience and we hope to have all our sites back online as soon as possible. We will send you a further email to notify you once your site is back up and running. For the latest information, see: http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/une...

We appreciate it when our customers report issues of this nature as these reports assist us in addressing problems that arise. We thank you for your assistance in this regard.

Hello everyone,

We've been able to restore sites published to .yolasite.com addresses. If your site published to a .yolasite.com address is still not visible, this could be because the DNS change is still propagating through the internet.

We're still working on custom domains and hope to have news on this for you soon.

This is great! I posted this forum over 11 hours ago and still my site is down. Looks like I'll begin rebuilding my site to a more reliable web building publishing servers.......This is great...I'm wondering how many potential clients I've missed while my site is unavailable.....I also wonder how much $ I've lost in the process....More than impatient at this point to say the least......

I am also grateful to those who are patiently and diligently working to restore service to all affected customers, and also get our own business back up and running. We hope that we will be able to restore your confidence in the reliability of our service by the way that we deal with this current crisis.

My apology to Yola and the Yola team. I am frustrated by the idiots that have nothing better to do that to attack innocent companies that serve as an host and web building advocate for those that are not compliment or patient enough build their own from scratch. I realize that Yola is not responsible for this attack and they are doing the best they can to resolve it....

I would like to thank those that have been up all night working tirelessly trying to resolve these issues on our behalf. Please accept my sincere apology and keep up the good work....

Dear keedo2009

I understand your frustration about your website being down.

Due to the DoS attack we experienced last week, it was necessary to block our old IP address completely and move to a new one.

If you have an externally hosted domain, you will need to go into your account settings with your registrar and remove the old IP address of 208.75.208.172 and re-point the A Records to 184.72.229.176.

Have a look at the tutorial on our website and follow the steps to help you change your records.

After you have made the changes, you may need to wait a few hours, sometimes up to 24 hours, for your site to be live on the web again.

You can contact us on support@yola.com if you need any further help with these instructions.

We apologize for this inconvenience and appreciate your patience and understanding.

Thank you
Nazlie
