Just an idea: it would be great to have a format copy tool in the site builder, like in a word processing software. When I created my site, I faced with the task to format the text in a lot of text widgets using the very same formatting steps. This would be a very useful tool, I think.

Hi Valika

This does sound like a good idea, but I would like to understand it better. How would this differ from the text editing toolbar we currently have available in Yola? This toolbar gives you options to format your copy. Would you like additional options to be added to the existing toolbar, or would you like the toolbar to function differently?

Describe it for me as best you can so that I can pass your idea on to our development team for consideration.

Hi Monique,

I would like a format painter to be added to the existing text editing toolbar, like e.g. in MS Word, you know, with the small brush icon. Using this tool you don't need to repeat each formatting steps in your several text widgets, if you want to use the very same format at each one. Just paint the format you've set once on one text, quickly. I spent a lot of time doing all the formatting last time. Hopefully I could make it clear, what I have in mind.

Yes, this does clear it up. Thank you very much. I am not an MS Word user myself, but I will go and check how this works and ask our engineers to look into implementing similar functionality. Your feedback is much appreciated!

Is there any posssibility to implement this format copy tool in the near future? Because I'm sure it would be very useful. Just curious.

Hi Valika

It may not be in the near future. We will have to confirm with our Product Team, but it seems unlikely at this stage.

Sorry I cannot be more specific about this at this time. Please do keep checking our communication and the forum for updates though.

Thanks so much!

I would like the ability to control the leading of text. I have been able to change it through a series of trial and error but it only works some of the time and results are not always consistent.

Hello knapperture,
I'm not familiar with text leading and how this is implemented, however I did do a bit of research and it sounds like this is something that is done with CSS. Possibly the CSS editing feature that is included with Yola Silver would be helpful?
