What is the status of adding small bits of javascript code to Synthasite pages? For example, I could sign up for a search service specializing in my category, but it requires javascript. Also, watch is the status of being able to add live feeds?

Hi Bengo

As far as know you can paste Javascript into the HTML widget. See Christo's answer on this thread, for example: http://getsatisfaction.com/SynthaSite...

If a live feed is the same thing as an RSS feed then you can add it with the RSS widget (in the Widgets folder). Paste the URL of the feed over the default URL in the properties sidebar, hit enter, and click "apply."

If I am missing the point on either of these questions, please let me know.

Cheers
Monique

I used the Yourminis widget and pasted the java script in the box that appeared and worked fine. Didin't work when I used the RSS feed though.

I have got a javascript. I made that myself with help of an online js generator.
Now it has given me the code it 2 parts.

part 1- has to be pasted between "head" tags
and part 2 has to be in "body" tag.

I m confused.

As far as i know you can't add between the head tags. I belive some forms of script can be added using the widgets but not pasting into the head codes. I had a similar situation and with the help of this group it turned out we can't access the head codes. Hope i helped to save you time.

After reading your reply, i tried to put the whole code in single HTML widget (head+body both) and surprisingly it is working absolutely fine!!

whats your website? I'd be interested to see what you did. I tried to add a javascript that way too but it wouldn't work at all.
