JQuery Bxslider has stopped working on both my live site www.rofasia.com and my test site, possibly due to new site builder functionality. Same problem has been reported by Gop as well. Thank you for looking into it and giving us the functionality back quickly!

Are you all sure that this is not the problem itself, I do not use bxslider but this script does refer to a external source.
You paste this in the HEAD section according to instructions, along with the rest of it.
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js" type="text/javascript"><script>

Hi Frank,
It could be if the js itself was coincidentally changed at the same time. The bxslider has been running OK both on rofasia and my site. It just stopped.
We're looking for a common thing I guess. If yola can get it working again then that's ideal. If not then other sliders work. bxslider though is really the best of the group.

Hello again all..
If you copy to your URL the address, http://code.jquery.com/jquery-latest.js , you can actually download/save the "jquery-latest.js" file to your computer. Then from there if you like you can put it directly stored on your site.(no more external source).
Of course editing the script to match the target.

Hi All,
I have an update on this for you and I'm sad to say, it's not good news.
The reason this has happened is because we now include jquery version 1.7.1 in all published sites. This helps us simplify widget developmentâhowever it posed a risk to users who already used some custom jquery scripts on their sites. We don't technically support custom html/js development in sites so we hoped no one would be effected. We can see that is not the case and we are sorry for the negative impact it has had on your websites. We will consider making a change in the future if customer demand warrants it, but for now the benefits to the stability of the widget platform demands that we leave it.
I'm so sorry for any frustration or inconvenience this may cause you.

Hi Laura, thanks for the update - although disappointing from a business/stability perspective I would do the same :-). However, I looked at http://thatbrandon.yolasite.com/exper... and the slider still works.? I'll check with Brandon to see what he is doing differently as well...
How about enhancing the picture widget to include slider/carousel functionality.
BTW: well done on the new functionality otherwise - very slick.

Eureka! Ever content not to accept a no for an answer, I got it to work by moving all of the code from the site header section into the html widget itself. Works like a charm - again with no other modification. Gop, if you need help, let me know at Klaus@rofasia.com.

Hello Klaus
How did you add the jQuery code to your head section? By using the Site Tracking Code section in your Site Settings?

Is it back up again now? Hope so. I've pulled mine as well.
