Hey cool cats...

ok, so I'm sure there's a lot of us that would like to get an easy/good looking slider incorporated on our pages.. preferably I like to hosts mine on my index/home-page.

I've used a variety of different sliders and have been happy with http://bxslider.com/

I came across this recently and it seems pretty cool: http://www.dwuser.com/ (Easy Rotator)

I downloaded it for a laugh and soon realised that I had to specify the root folder of my website... This isn't possible, as we don't have access to that side of yola.

What I'm getting at, is wouldn't it be great if yola could offer us a jquery slider widget? It shouldn't be such a huge mission and I reccon we'd all LOVE IT!

Wordpress has a lot of themes containing sliders.... they always look so snazzy and add a huge element to what is considered a 'modern website'.

Any thoughts?

Hello Mik

You absolutely have a point, and you're not the first user to request a Yola slideshow widget. We indeed have this feature on our list, and I hope that the other options from third-party providers will make up for it in the meantime.

Hi Stefan, hope you're well ;)
Yes, sure they make up for it, it's just the convenience that is missing at the moment ;)

I really like some of the new themes we've got.
The menus don't just have an indicator now, but also change font when mouse-over'ed. This is great! I know it;s quite simple to tweek with css, but it's cool that yola are now offering this, so users don't have to change the css too much, maybe just the colour to match their design! Great!

While we're on that topic, can I ask you about some of the new themes and IF we are able to remove the developer's credit at the bottom of them.. I think there are only 4 or 5 new themes that have the credit at the bottom: designed by ........
As much as I would like to credit the designer, it's a bit of an eye-sore ;)

Hello Mik

Yes, I am, I hope you are, too. Thanks for praising our new Styles, we're happy that you like them!

Are you talking about the designer credit on Free Styles? Unfortunately these credits cannot be removed. Please let me know if this should happen on one of the Premium Designs.

ahh, ok, I hadn't notice Stefan...
I tend to use quite a few free styles and premium styles and just edit the CSS to suit me ;)

And yea... Yola is great and it will only get better... right?!
