Hello Kyle

If you want to add a comment platform to your friend's site, you will need to copy the HTML code for that and paste inside an HTML widget.

Please be advised though that if any new users sign up for JS-Kit, they will need to pay. If you were a previous user of JS-Kit, you were automatically upgraded to their new commenting platform.

If you're wanting to add your friend so that he also has administrative control, I believe you need to add his email address to the moderation section. I'm not sure of this though.

Hello IB Heart,

IntenseDebate is another option for adding a commenting feature to your site. You can add code from IntenseDebate.com.

Here are the steps:

1. Go to IntenseDebate.com and click on "Sign Up".
2. Fill out your information.
3. Select the 2nd radio button for "I want to install Intense Debate on my blog or website" and click on "Sign Up".
4. Enter your site's URL in the box provided and then click "Next Step".
5. Select Generic Install.
6. For a basic comment box, copy the code provided in the #1 box.
7. If you want to display a link with the current comment count, e.g. Comments (7), then copy the code provided in the 2nd box.
8. Go to your Yola site builder, drag and drop an HTML widget onto your content area.
9. Paste the code into the HTML widget (Ctrl-V) and click on "OK". Republish your site by clicking on "Update my Site".
10. The comments will be tracked automatically by IntenseDebate and be tied to your URL.
11. To view IntenseDebate's FAQ, click on this link.

Possibly this will work for you!

This looks really helpful, Emmy.

I'm not sure what kind of comment box I want. Can I try them all without my comments getting erased? My site is not published yet, but I may want to keep making changes.

If you all ready have comments in something, they might get deleted if you delete the code from your site. I would suggest trying out the different comment features on test pages to see which one you like.

Hello Tiago

I just wanted to let you know that there may be a possibility of importing your existing comments into Intense Debate. From what I've read - it seems they espouse this feature. I will try it on my own website and see if this is truly possible. If so, then I will let you know! =)
