When I open the different pages of my website, the pages jump a bit to the left or right (i.e. they are not all synchronised). Anybody know why this is, and how do I get it to stop? This is my site if you want to see what I mean:

I can see that it's to do with the presence (or absence) of the scrollbar on the right of my page. Is it possible to configure the site so that when you navigate between pages with and without scrollbars, everything stays in the same place? John.

Hi John,

When your content extends over the defined width of a page then scroll bars are inserted onto the page automatically. This requires about 18 pixels of right hand column space which means that it pushes your content left by 18 pixels.

The way to stop this is to make sure that the added content doesn't extend beyond the red guide lines, these are the wrapper boundaries of each section of your page, showing in your equivalent site-builder page.

thanks Gop. I half understand what you're saying. Where can I find the red guide lines, wrapper boundaries and equivalent site-builder page? Cheers, John.

Hello john,

When you open your page in the site builder you will notice the red boundaries.
When you extend beyond the bottom boundary a scroll bar on the right hand side appears.

When you extend content beyond the right hand red line then you will get a horizontal scroll bar appearing at the bottom of your page.

The red lines are only seen within the site builder. they don't appear on the published page. They function as guides for content.
