Keep re-publishing to get it to update website

Why do I have to re-publish my site over and over again to get it to update my changes? Every time I make changes to my website, I have to keep publishing it over and over to get the changes to update.

Bronzie8: I ran into the same issue when I made alignment changes to widgets on my test site. I published the site, and nothing changed.

When I returned to the site 10 minutes later, however, and refreshed the browser, a series of changes suddenly appeared. So... it appears that a delay is built into Yola's publishing / hosting system. You don't have to keep re-saving and re-publishing -- but you do have to wait a while to see the changes.

It would be helpful if Yola's tech support team could check and clarify this -- to avoid more frustration from users.

Hello bronzie8 & Mark,

This is an ongoing issue which raises its head from time to time. The time delay period is not specifically noted and is somewhat variable. Presumably its a function of load on the servers throughout the system.

Diane Wolf, Yola, acknowledged this in a response some time back and added that it may take even longer for yolasite sub-domains to come up after publishing.

Images may take prolonged periods of time to come through beyond other content as well.

The continually re-publishing to get your site changes up is likely to be coincidental and really it's the delay after the initial re-publish that is the issue as Mark has noted.

I can confirm that a delay in publishing can occur and that republishing will not speed the process. Rather allow a few minutes and then check back. Our engineering team are working to reduce or eliminate delays when updating your website.
