I want a landing page that says 'site is under construction'. I have an image ready. Where do I upload that image so when people go to my domain, they would see the message that says when my site will open. Thanks!

You could do this on your home page, nina. Then remove any other pages you're working on from the navigation. Publish your site and all visitors will see is the home page with whatever you put on it.

I wouldn't put up an image, but some text about your business and when you'll be up and running.

Thanks Margie!

Nina - does that answer your question? Just in case, you can find information on adding pictures on this link:

Hello Nina

You can create your own under construction notice if you wish. However, I strongly advise against this. Putting an "under construction" notice on a website is a very outdated practice. Today it is understood that all websites are continually "under construction" See this useful article on the topic: Why your Website Should Always Be Under Construction.

If you have pages that you aren't ready to put live yet, simply move them out of your menu and then put them back in when you are ready.

These are the steps to moving your page in and out of your navigation:

1. Click on the "Edit Navigation" button on the top toolbar.
2. A dialog box will open and you will see the list of your pages in the left-hand pane under "Pages in the Navigation".
3. Drag and drop your page that is still in development "Pages out the Navigation".

Repeat the above steps and drag the completed page "Pages in the Navigation" then republish your site when you are ready for the page to go live.

If you still decide that you wish to use an "under construction" notice on your site, here is a site with a large selection that you can download: Under Construction Icons and Signs

To use one of these images:

1. Right click on the image you want.
2. Select: "save image as"
3. In Yola, upload the image you just saved to your File Manager and add it with either the Text or the Picture widget. See: Adding Pictures for further instructions if needed.

I hope this answers your question. Please let me know if it does not.
