Hi lynda,

Your site is looking very nice. Just one thing to consider, you may wish to put your product more prominently on the home page and create an "about me" page to put the information about you. The aim of your home page is to get people to click in and look at your products so you would want them to be the most prominent thing on the page. I hope your site brings you lots of business!

Hi clouda9! I love your website promoting SynthaSite. It looks great and it is a really great resource. I would love for you to add my site to your "Creative SynthaSite's" section. If you're interested, maybe we can do a link exchange. (See my page "Xchange" for more information) Please let me know what you think.

Alice,

From home straight over to testimonials on your menu I was drawn and enthralled! This is what Synthasite is all about, offering free access and leaving the webmaster to provide the quality. Your site is the bomb! Adding to my Squidoo lens http://www.squidoo.com/free_website_w... straight away! Thanks for sharing here!

I took a look at your site and have to say that I would need more information before donating. Perhaps you can put the pictures on the site, I am always leary of just opening up a zip file onto my computer. I think some official links to your organization would also help your cause.

I have now added photos. I am sure you can do a google search and see for you self the devastation done by this hurricane. If you are not satisfy with donating via my website, Then please do so via the Redcross but donations are desperately needed. You can also ship hurricanes supplies.

I have Two main sites now. One is http://www.hobbiesaboutus.com and the other is http://hobbiesaboutus.synthasite.com/ My synthasite is going to actually be where you can buy all kinds of neat hobby things. Working on integrating the concept of working both sites together. So the synthasite pages will be mucked up for awhile. Now where did Igor go for my next experiment?

You can add a guestbook from Jotform.com, bravenet.com or slide.com
I did notice you have the apartment link overlapping the synthasite links, i don't know if thats a problem with just IE or your placement of the link. I agree more info would help.

Hey Arafel,

There are a couple ways you can do it. If you are in a text box, just click the link button (shown in this image: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/9397/Shot0... ). Then choose a page in your site or choose a page from another site. Alternatively, you can use custom HTML, which is in the markup of this:

< a href="http://yoursite.com" >The link text that you want < /a>

(without the spaces between the < and the a; I did that so it wouldn't actually turn into a link.

Hi Arafel,

Here's how to add links to your page:
1. Drag and drop a text widget onto your page.
2. In the text widget type the words that you want people to click on (this is your link text)
3. Highlight the link text and then click on the link button (it's the 10th button from the left in the text editing tool bar, and looks like the link in a chain)
4. A link editor dialogue box will open up and you will be given 4 options. You can link to an email address, an external URL, a page on your own site or a file on your computer.
5. Click on the option appropriate for you.
6. Then type the URL or address of the site that you want to link TO in the appropriate box and click on OK.

You will then have a link on your page.

To check that your link is working preview your page and then click on the link.

You can add various PayPal buttons by going to the PayPal site, selecting the one you want, copying the code, and using the HTML tool to install the code by setting your cursor inside it and pasting.

Are you open to suggestions? I have several, because I admire your work and would like to see you succeed.
1. When taking photos of the critters, roll some neutral fabric across the platform and up the back to remove distracting images of boxes, etc. A bolt of felt is often good because it has a soft look and doesn't wrinkle easily.
2. Whet our appetite: get some of your best images on your home page, or people will move on without exploring.
3. Place images "above the fold" so that people do not have to scroll to see them.
4. Focus link exchanges on people who are doing similar things to you: plushies, crafts, craft shows, toys, fantasy and so on. This is because a link from Joe's Plumbing will be penalized by Google as inappropriate. Well, maybe not one link, but the balance should be mostly to sites within your field, especially if you only have a few.
5. No need to apologize -- all sites are works in progress. Consider getting your merchandise to the front of the site and just upgrade as you can.
6. A picture of a cute kid enjoying one of your creations will help inspire an impulsive gift buy.
7. Finally, please go to my site lilnyet.com and take notice of the red demon cat character. I would be very interested in knowing what it might cost to produce one, as well as how much for a larger quantity, assuming you were interested in commission work, which you may not be. Please take a pass if it doesn't fit your plans -- we won't be upset. You can find my email address on the site's CONTACT page if you want to contact me about it. We have other characters we want to make at scratchinpostcomics.com, but we don't know whether an artisan or a factory is the ideal choice yet.
You're off to a great start. Keep at it.

Yes, just go to PayPal and click on the merchants section, there you can select which item you want to add. It was really easy, but a bit time comsumming ;)
and thanks, I love making my critters, hopefully people will start buying them ;D

Thank you, that was verrry helpful=] You should try opening an Etsy.com shop and putting a link on it for your website. Plushies are very popular there. Best of luck!
