I need to grant an access to one of my sites to SEO specialist. How can I do that without exposing other sites that are not of his business.

Hello Andrey,

What you can do is add password protection to the pages of your other sites. Save but don't re-publish these individual sites.

Keep the site you wish to have open for the consultant as normal.

The other aspect of this is that a person who has skills with websites could just as easily see your structure and building methods without having access to your site builder. X-ray tools are free and specific for various browsers and tend to give a more instant view of the deeper workings than the builder would.

Hello Andrey

I'm not sure if I got your question right. Did you mean that you'd like give an SEO specialist the credentials to your Yola account, so that they can log into your account to work on SEO things for a certain website of yours, while you don't want them to have access to the other websites of your account?

Please let us know if Gop's solution should not work for you.

Thanks guys for replying. Gop's solutions doesn't really work for me since I have unpublished site which can not be password protected and you are right, Stefan, I need my SEO specialist to have an access to only one site. You got the question very well. What can you suggest?

Hello Andrey

That is a bit of a problem. You would have to open another Yola account, and we would need to move the one website that the SEO specialist shall work on to this new account. I would need to ask an engineer to do that, and later he would have to move your site back to your old account again. Considering that we do site tranfers only as exceptions anyway, that would be quite a bit of a mission.

Is it really necessary that the SEO specialist cannot view your other sites? Aren't they published to the internet for everyone to see anyway?

The SEO specialist must be someone you trust. Even if we moved your site to a different account, you will need to give this person the credentials to that account, and they as anyone else who accesses your account will be able to change anything. So giving anyone access to one of your accounts should be considered well in general.

By the way, did you see that we offer a wide range of information on how to do SEO for your Yola website yourself? If you have any specific questions that you don't find the answer to in our SEO Tutorials or in this Support Forum, you are welcome to ask them here, and we will be happy to help.
