Link Box too small

I have so many links across the top of my page that they have started a second row. My problem is that the box (that was part of the template) is not as long going up and down so my second row is half in the box and half out. Any suggestions?

Hi katie,

Can you give us the URL for your site? I think I understand what you're saying but would like to check it. Then happy to add some experience as an answer.
Regards.

Hi katie,

Your solution is very straight-forward. It requires as you mentioned another solution.

You need to turn off the menu created by the template. To do this you go into "Site manager" and "Edit Menu". Move all the items from the green coloured "In the Menu" box to the red "Out the menu" box. This process removes all the menu items from the menu bar of all your pages.

Add a Two column widget to the page. This is not essential as you can simply place the menu items in a text widget followed by another text widget for your blurb. The two column widget tends to lessen the size of your page and so your readers don't have to scroll down the page to read on.

Add Text widgets into both sides of the two column widget
Add the Menu item names as text in a vertical list to the left hand column.
Create links to each of the names in the list you created.
As you add more pages as you have mentioned, you simply add more menu items to your list and make a link.

Copy and paste the original text from your main page into the text widget in the right hand side of your page. Preview it and if it looks OK delete the original text placement.

I haven't looked at your other pages other than your home page so you may have to do the same sort of thing for each of your other pages.

There are heaps of other options ranging from formal menus to images with links to your other pages.

Good luck.

Thanks Peter, for the great advice!

Katie, you can also choose a style that has a menu that runs down the side instead of the top. Or you can divide up your site in to categories and create sub-pages, here's a tutorial: http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/c...
