When I write a new blog post (writing this within the site - not transferred from a word document), I am no longer able to use the "link" icon to link to other pages on my site or external links. It will let me go through the steps but then the link does not show up after I click ok. This happened the other day with another blog post. I am still able to link within the site just not when I'm writing a blog post. The site is http://www.MasonMetu.com. I no longer transfer in info without first putting it into notepad. That is usually the first thing everyone tells me so that can't be the issue since this just started happening and I've written lots of other blog posts I've previously written. Please help, it's very important to be able to link from my blog posts.

Its possibly your browser if using Mozilla. Switch to Internet Explorer to do this and see if that works. If not, get back to me and we will sort this out with ease.

Thanks Rynaldo, I do use Mozilla but am so scared to go use IE. I had terrible things happen to the site when I tried to build in IE - it really went wonky. I will try it out and keep my fingers crossed that the weird stuff doesn't happen. I wonder why it would all of a sudden start doing this with Mozilla though - never had a problem before. Wish me luck - I will try the IE route.

Who-hoo it worked. Wonkiness be gone on IE. Now it looks like Mozilla is the rotten apple. I'll have to work in IE when I do the blog posts from now on. Thanks for helping Rynaldo.

Well, not completely fixed but I can work with it. Weird - I had a graphic image of a pumpkin that shows up when I'm in edit mode in Mozilla but then when the site went live after working in IE, it vanished. Still there in edit mode though. This is some of the stuff that happened with IE before. Things would show up in edit mode but then not be there when the site was published. If you look at it live on in IE it just has a red x where the image should be and in Mozilla the image is completely gone (still there in edit mode though).

Hello Kristin,

What you're describing makes me wonder if you have edited your image using Photoshop? Your images may have a CMYK color mode attached to them - which is not web friendly. You should be able to set your color mode to RGB-16bit and you will then be able to upload them and view them on your site. An easy way to do this is instead of just selecting "save", choose "save for web" in Photoshop. The image will then be automatically saved in the correct format.

One more thing.. the issue that you're seeing with the Link Editor not working is a bug that we are trying to fix up. IE seems to be the only browser that is not affected by this. We will let you know when this has been addressed.

HI Sanja, thansk for the tips on the images. I had no clue about that. I will do that from now on. And thanks for letting me know there might be a bug going on with the link editor - at least I know it's not just me. Really appreciate your help. :)

Hello Gwen,

There has been nothing announced at this time on a date. I'm currently using some HTML which overcomes the immediate problem.

Hi Gwen and folks,

This bug has been moved into backlog which means there are more pressing bugs that will be resolved first before this bug gets the proper attention. I will try to get an idea of if/when this bug will be addressed, thanks.
