My site is http://www.babybo.co.uk in the links there is 'Hospital Check List'. This is a PDF stored in my files. I have it set to open in new window when clicked, but it doesn't. I was told that it is a problem in preview mode but when live it would be ok. Well it is still not opening in a new window.

Any suggestions please?

Hello Leah,

I hate the response I'm going to give :(

Can you try using different browsers and comparing the outcomes:

IE 7 and up; Chrome and FireFox. It may be browser specific.

Hello Gop (again)

I have tried in IE9, Chrome and Firefox. It is the same in each. The strange thing is if the link for 'Pre Packed Bags' is clicked, in the actually writing there is a link to the check list at the bottom and that opens in a new window. How strange is that.

Hello Leah,

When I click on this I am prompted to download the PDF. Are you getting it opening on your page? If you are wanting to embed your PDF and have it pop up on a page on your site you can do this but it requires a bit of HTML coding.

If this is what you are wanting, please let us know and we can assist you further.

Many thanks for working with us on this.

Hi Jeremy

It does pop up, but not in a new window. This only seems to be an issue with the links at the side. The one on the 'Pre Packed Bags' page, at the bottom, when clicked opens in another window.

Hello Leah

I have checked your account, and I noticed that the "Add in new window" option doesn't seem to work properly when checked in the Link Editor. I'm sorry for that, our engineers will look into it.

What you can do as a workaround in the meantime is this:
  1. Click into the Text Widget with the "Hospital Check List" link.

  2. Click on the HTML icon in the Text Editing Toolbar that pops up at the top in order to access the HTML code of your Text Widget in an HTML Editor.

  3. Search for your "Hospital Check List" link. You will find it as:
    <a href="resources/Maternity_Hospital_Bag.pdf">Hospital check list</a>

  4. Add a snippet to it like this:
    <a href="resources/Maternity_Hospital_Bag.pdf" target="_blank">Hospital check list</a>

  5. Republish your site.

This will make your PDF open in a new tab/window.

Hope this helps. Please let us know if you need any assistance with this.
