Hi Andy,

You can add a file using the File Widget:
1. Drag and drop a file widget onto your page from the sidebar on the right (the icon for this looks like a computer disk).
2. A dialog box will open and you can choose to browse your computer for the file you want to upload or choose an already uploaded image.
3. When you click "OK" a link to your file will automatically be created. To test that it is working, save and preview your page.
4. People will then be able to click on your link and download the file you have uploaded.

Alternatively, you can create a link to the file using the link editor in a text widget:
1. Drag and drop a text widget onto your page.
2. In the text widget type the words that you want people to click on (this is your link text).
3. Highlight the link text and then click on the link button (it's the 10th button from the left in the text editing tool bar, and looks like the link in a chain).
4. A link editor dialogue box will open up and you will be given 4 options. You can link to an email address, an external URL, a page on your own site or a file on your computer.
5. Click on and edit the option appropriate for you.

You will then have a link on your page. To check that your link is working preview your page and then click on the link.

This is a brief explanation of how to add links, we have written a tutorial that shows the process in more detail. Here is the link: http://www.synthasite.com/tutorials/c....

I hope that's the info you were looking for, let us know if you need any other help.

Hi

I have done this, my site is already completed...what i want is not to divert that click to another page where that computer disk will have to be clicked again. I want the customer to clink on the button and open up the save open cancel window. The little one in the middle of the screen.

Thanks

Hi Andy,

You can create a new page where you'll add the file, link to the new page from your main page using the link editor so that visitors to your site will be directed to the page with the file. They'll then be able to click on the file and get the option to download or open the file. Whether a window opens when they click on the file depends on the browser and the settings they have.
