I have a retarted question... I'm pretty new to building a website and I'm trying to make mine more popular on the web. So I've found that I need to do link trading with other websites, but they all say I need a "link page" So my question is what is a link page and how do I make one with yola? And don't tell me its just another page smothered with links because I don't see how that would be helpful to anyone. Thanks

Hi Aaron,

Will is right, it is usually a directory of links that you have on your site.

Here is a tutorial on how to add the links to your page:

I hope this helps.

Be careful though, it could mess up your SEO efforts... inbound 1 way links from a reputable / valued site are good, a "link farm" holds no value to google for improving your rankings. Search the phrases you want to rank well in, and get on all the 1 way only link sites that show in the first few pages of results - like, yellow, city etc. You want the ones where they point to you only, and no recip link is required. if they require a back link, skip it and move on to the next one.

If you spend the same time on:

quality page content, adding new content regularly,
getting on google, yahoo, and bing maps,
and writing good keywords / meta data,
having vids on youtube linked to your site,
add a page with an rss feed related to your industry,
use your keywords and the words from your page description in the content

my experience has been that you will be better served.
