Linking separate URLs to the same website

Someone told me that it is possible to "pin" different URLs together, so they all point (redirect) to the same website. Can I do this with Yola? I have two other domain names with a different provider, which I would like to "pin together" with my Yola page. I was told this would be good for SEO purposes, as my current Yola URL is not really ideal for Google search results. Is it possible to do this? If so, how? And do all three domains need to be managed by Yola?

Hello Mel

Yes, you can do that with Yola. Instead of "pinning", we say that you can assign multiple domains to one Yola website.

If you have our Yola Bronze or Yola Silver hosting package, your domains do not need to be managed by Yola, but you can point them to your Yola website. Once done, you will be able to assign them to a specific website in your Yola account.

If your current Yola URL is a Yolasite subdomain, it may be true that such a domain will be less ideal for search engines than a custom domain. You can find more information here: Custom domain – will it help with SEO?.

You are also more than welcome to purchase a domain from us or transfer your currently external domains to Yola. This could save you the costs for the hosting that your external registrar will keep on charging you while you point your domains to us.
