What is wrong with this code. I don't see the picture in the code only the link text.

How to I show the code in this post so you can see what the problem may be?

Could you add the code here starting with <!--- and ending with --->.

Please could you also share your URL so we can investigate.

Thanks,

Andi

Hello Randy,

It looks like the image link is wrong. Is this image the image on the homepage to the left?

Check the image link to make sure it is correct and that code will work.

Kind Regards,

Andi

<!---<a href="http://casapina.yolasite.com/resource... text</a>--->

If you check out the web site again all that appears is the text link text. As far as I can see, the image link looks fine.

Hi Randy,

I have looked at the Source Code of your website and you have not added the

<!---

<a href="resources/aquileia.jpg">...</a>

--->

Add the above (except the <!--- and --->) and it will work.

Kind Regards,

Andi

The link is working, the image shows when clicked on.

Is this what you are looking for or are you trying to have the image display on the page?

I want the image to appear with the text Aquileia below it. I plan on having four maybe five pictures displayed horizontally this way. Something like what I have on my own web site. (www.mcran.com)

In that case, you will need to do something completely different, I recommend using a table style system which would be the easiest to arrange.

I shall generate the code for this now for you if you like...

Alternatively, you could try using the Sitebuilder and get it to do all of the hard work for you...

Here's what to do:

1. Add a column divider to where you would like the row of images, the Column Divider is found under the Basics tab of the Widget panel. I shall refer to this as Column Divider 1.

2. Add another column divider to Column Divider 1's left hand column. I will refer to this as Column Divider 2.

3. Add another column divider to the RIGHT hand side of Column Divider 1.

4. Add an image widget to the left hand column of Column Divider 2, locate the image within the File Manager and click ok. Resize this image to the size you require.

5. Add a text widget below this and insert the name of the Image.

6. Repeat steps 4 and 5 for the rest of the 'columns'.

This would be the easiest option for you.

If you need anymore assistance, please let me know.

Kind Regards,

Andi

Thanks! I will try that.

I would also like to try the table idea. If you go to my main web site www.mcran.com, you will see that I used tables throughout my site so I am very comfortable with the code.

Okay Randy,

Follow these simple steps for the table:

Add a text widget to the page. Click inside the text widget to open the Text Toolbar. Click on the HTML button at the right hand side of the toolbar. Copy and paste the following code into it: (Without the <!--- and --->)

<!---

<table width="900" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0">
<tr>
<td><img src="link goes here" width="__px" height="__px" alt="Enter some hover text here..."/></td>
<td><img src="link goes here" width="__px" height="__px" alt="Enter some hover text here..."/></td>
<td><img src="link goes here" width="__px" height="__px" alt="Enter some hover text here..."/></td>
<td><img src="link goes here" width="__px" height="__px" alt="Enter some hover text here..."/></td>
<td><img src="link goes here" width="__px" height="__px" alt="Enter some hover text here..."/></td>
</tr>
<tr>
<td>Title 1 goes here...</td>
<td>Title 2 goes here...</td>
<td>Title 3 goes here...</td>
<td>Title 4 goes here...</td>
<td>Title 5 goes here...</td>
</tr>
</table>

--->

Change the image values - Link, Height, Width and Alt Tag as appropriate.

By adding this table to the Text Editor, you will be able to simply add text into the bottom row of the table by simply typing instead of editing the raw code.

Hope this helps,

Thanks again Andi!

I tried what you suggested and everything worked. Now I have to decide exactly how I want to present the pictures keeping in mind that I would like this site to be Flash free so that people with iPhones etc... can view everything on the site. This is how I have my personal site set up and it works fine.

Is there a way with the table code you posted above, that I can click on a thumbnail photo and have the photo displayed at a predefined size? I remember a while back that there is code I can use to do this but I forget now. Maybe I can incorporate it into the table code you posted earlier?

Hello Randy,

I have to agree with you on the Flash statement.

I can not find the link to the enlarge image but you could take a look at this: http://www.sohtanaka.com/web-design/f...

Kind Regards.

Thanks again Andi. Like I said before, I am looking at what my options are so that I can present them to the person I am working with on their site.

Would there be an easier way of presenting pictures so that if some else has to maintain the site it will be pretty straight forward. What are my options in this regard? I am trying to stay away from Flash based solutions but if that is the only way to go, I guess I will have to look at that as well. Thanks!!!!

I love it!! So simple to use. Now I just have to figure out ways to fine tune the code so that I can have even more control. Any ideas?

<!---

<table width="300" border="0" cellspacing="15" cellpadding="80">
<tr>
<td><img src="resources/casapina1.jpg" width="100" height="100" onclick="this.src='resources/casapina1.jpg';this.height=500;this.width=400" ondblclick="this.src='resources/casapina1.jpg';this.height=100;this.width=100">Bedroom</td>
<td><img src="resources/casapina2.jpg" width="100" height="100" onclick="this.src='resources/casapina2.jpg';this.height=500;this.width=400" ondblclick="this.src='resources/casapina2.jpg';this.height=100;this.width=100">House</td>
<td><img src="resources/casapina3.jpg" width="100" height="100" onclick="this.src='resources/casapina3.jpg';this.height=500;this.width=400" ondblclick="this.src='resources/casapina3.jpg';this.height=100;this.width=100">View</td>

</tr>
<tr>

</tr>
</table>

--->

When you go to the site, you will see that the pictures on the picture gallery page are too far apart. How can I bring them closer? I have been fooling around with the cellpadding but it doesn't seem to do much. Maybe I'm wrong here and need more guidance.

Thanks!! Randy
