Loading images and site speed

Hi there, I am becoming increasingly frustrated at the speed of the Yola site lately, it appears to be running extremely slow when trying to make changes. Also I am experiencing issues when trying to load new images to my catalogue, the images seemingly upload ok but when I try to publish them to my live site, the thumbnails never appear and they sit as grey boxes on my website.

Thank you in advance for your solution

Hello Shane

One reason for your Sitebuilder becoming slow can be that you have (mutliple) large (image) files on the pages of your site. We recommend to resize pictures to 20-100KB in order to make your site fast to load (also in the Sitebuilder view) and to not exceed your file storage space too soon.

Another solution is to clear your browser's cache and cookies, and see if that helps (we recommend to do that regularly for a general better internet experience). You can also try a different browser to compare.

I have checked your image files, and the reason why you see grey thumbnails is that the names of your image files contain special characters. I could see dots and commas within the file name, which won't work. Can you please try and rename your image files? You will need to add them to your galleries afterwards again to ensure that the gallery widgets use the new address (file name) of the pictures.

Please let us know if these options don't solve your problem.
