Hi Natasja,

Could you please specify a little more exactly what the problem is? Are you attempting to upload a custom banner to your site theme? Or are you referring to something else?

Hopefully I can help you with this :)

Sounds like Natasja is trying to add her banner image via an image script in her headings text box of her properties popup. If so, you can follow my posts in the following thread here to help you with that and simplify it. http://forum.yola.com/yola/topics/cha...

I see that you have been using Yola since last year and think by now that you know the way to upload to your banner the normal way... If not let us know what you mean...

Happy site building

thanks for your prompt replies. I am trying to upload my logo onto the 'Victoria' site theme.

This is what Ive done:
- uploaded my logo to my File Manager.
- went to Page, Page Properties and in the "Page Heading" box, copied and pasted this image code: Page heading text goes here.
(changing the 'your image' with my file name) - then clicked ok.
the only words that then appear are my file name, with no image, not even the little question mark that indicates there should be an image.

Also tried Ed's suggestion, same thing. Am I just being blonde here?

I just double and triple checked and the way that described (via images) in the thread that I linked to works flawlessly either by accessing the header text in the banner or the properties page headings box.

The code that you should be using is:

<img style="margin: 4px; padding: 0px;" src="resources/MYIMAGE.png">

or for a JPG image

<img style="margin: 4px; padding: 0px;" src="resources/MYIMAGE.jpg">

or for a GIF image

<img style="margin: 4px; padding: 0px;" src="resources/MYIMAGE.gif">

Try this one more time...

Hi Emmy, Ed - I am afraid non of the above is working :( When I do what Ed has suggested, nothing happens, it just leaves the text box empty.

I now also seem to have a problem editing the text in the text boxes (body of the page) The minute I click in the text box, it removes the text, and shows an empty screen with a small 'x' on the right hand side of the text box.

I have rebooted as well as deleted my site and started to rebuild it, but it's giving me the exact same responses. Do you think there might be something wrong with the site style I'm using. I am getting a little frustrated here :(

Hello NatasjaM,
Can you tell us what your domain name is as well as the file name of your logo that you are trying to add. We can then try again to help.

Kind Regards,
Emmy

I would love to have the URL of your published site after you add the code and then publish...

The only reason that this has failed in the past was:
A) The image file was not there.
B) The code was not copied completely.

I have used the exact code above in a new site/page with the Victoria style and it works every time...

What browser are you using? Have you been clearing your cache? I just don't know...

See the following video to check out that even using your chosen style that it works every time. http://screencast.com/t/NAYKayDUf3g

I hope that one day they will give the Champs the ability to go in and fix such things if asked. Maybe a downloaded program for side by side assistance. But... One does not learn as well if they don't go through it at least once themselves. ;)

Don't give in yet girl... ;) By the way... Where in the world are you? I've been wondering that...

Hello NatasjaM,

There may be a couple of issues going on here. First of all, from what I can see, your image file name is actually: mdlogosml.JPG. The URL is case sensitive. You had lower cases for the "JPG" part.

Secondly, after uploading your images to your File Manager, you need to republish your site so that the latest information is cached on your browser.

Once you have done these two things, you should hopefully see your image working.

Please let us know if you still have trouble with this.

Hi Sanja
ok, I kind of figured it out..... I altered the original JPEG (logo) in PAINT, and added text. Somehow yola did not recognise this, as i did a test and just added the original JPEG without the text, and YOLA accepted it. So, I went long way round, saved the yola background image, added my logo and saved it as a JPEG again, and voila - it worked! Thanks so much for all your help!
