login opens two windows

I don't know how long it's been happening, but just noticed that when I click the Yola icon to go to the Login page, two identical windows open, inviting me to log in.
This is not obvious on the screen, but in the Taskbar at the bottom of the screen I have two windows to choose from.
I suspect this will be using bandwidth and slowing down operations - would that be the case?
Does anybody else have this happening, and if not, what may be the cause?

Hello Philip

Can you please tell me which Yola icon you mean? You could provide a screenshot if you want. I can't think of a Yola icon that takes one to the login page. Usually you would use the login button in the navigation on the right-hand side.

Thanks Stefan.
I have a shortcut to Yola login on my desktop http://www.yola.com/login that takes me to the login page, where I then log in.
But the shortcut opens two sessions, with two login pages. I can log in to two different websites and operate separately, but I never need to, and I think the extra session would slow my system down.
I can close one session, which solves the problem, but I'd like to stop this happening.

Also, when I clicked on Go To This Reply on my e-mail it opened two sessions as well, so it doesn't seem to be the icon.

Hello Philip

Hm, that's strange. This doesn't happen on my end at all when I replicate the steps you've given. So for the icon, do you mean a bookmark of your browser? I wonder if you added the URL twice there which could be a reason that it opens two browser windows. I must admit that I'm a bit clueless here. Let me know if this problem persists, and I'll see if I can find out anything by research.

Hi Stefan.

I created a shortcut on my desktop (Windows 7) by right-clicking the desktop and selecting New/ Shortcut, then pasting in the Yola login address. I've done this with several other sites that I visit, with no problems.

I've just deleted the shortcut and re-made it, with the same results as before.

When I click the bookmark in the Firefox Bookmarks list it works properly, as yours did.

No big deal, but I like to have the Yola icon available when I first open the computer as that's where I usually go..

Update: I changed my default browser from Firefox to IE7, and it now works normally.
Seems the problem may be in Firefox's shortcut- making routine. I'll check with them.
